A group of students from SMU just released Eclipse (http://students.guildhall.smu.edu/eclipse/index.html), a total conversion for Half-Life 2. From their site:

Eclipse is a third-person total conversion of Valve's Half Life 2 . You play as a young Sorceress named Violet whose father went missing five years back. After learning the secrets of Telekinesis, you are teleported into Auld-Haven, a lush and fertile land where Violet grew up. Your objective is to return to Violet's home where she last saw her father years ago and dig up any clues to his whereabouts. In the broken down tower of her home you discover a journal left by her father. The journal unlocks a handful of secrets that ultimately leads you on a quest to find the ancient teleportation device - the Standing Stones.

Sounds pretty interesting. I've heard there's not a whole lot of gameplay here, but still -- first big mod/TC for HL2? Worth checking out.

Interesting. I wonder how they'll make use of the physics engine.

The first TC was/is Plan of Attack. This is the first proper SP mod.

It's short and gets a little gimmicky in places, but is fun overall and the team behind it have obvious talent.

Can't wait for more teams to bring Full mods out. :D

Yeah, it's nice to finally see the HL2 mod community starting to shake. That was definitely the best thing about HL1. I played that game in different incarnations for nearly five years becaue of the mod community.

Isn't Plan of Attack just considered a MP mod and not a TC? :)

Well they do mention that she's telekinetic. So there's some physics fun to be had I can imagine.
