I'm not usually a big RTS fan, but this one has me intrigued.
I guess I'm going to have to buy a commodore to play this. :|

They were sent out at a 5000x4600 resolution too. No lie.

I am blown away. Did I hear right that they are the new offcial game for CPL instead of Counter-Strike? I read on some forum a guy that was in the beta or something that said this was the CS of RTS. If that is so, then I am so getting this game.

Nice to see Massive continuing to lead the way in RTS graphics.

Hey, cool! An RTS on PC! I was wondering when they'd get around to making one of these!
I kid... but seriously, I don't like RTS's, however, this one's graphics certainly impress. That's a lot of detail for an RTS.

Way too early to be thinking anything like that. CS isn't going to be going anywhere for a while

Looks promising.
Graphics are almost as good as Company of Heroes overall, and definately superior in some ways.
Are these DX10 shots or DX9?

If you want to get a sneak peek at how much this game will own, go to a bargain bin near you and grab Ground Control II.

I was on the beta or maybe it was the alpha for one day. I was blown away with it. Fast, pretty, and a hell of a good fight. I was very sad that account was only good for one day of stress testing the servers :)

Is this set in the late 70's? I'm trying to figure out what the hell a M60 A1 Tank is doing on the Battlefield.

ALMOST? they blow CoH out of the water, they blow anything out of the water as far as I can tell.

From what I've heard of the story and from the trailers it takes place in the 80's. Whether early or late (But the trailer's tagline of 'The Cold War was supposed to end... It didn't' leads me to believe late) I don't know. Since this takes place on American soil and since most of our hardware allocations were positioned to stop the Red Steamroller in Germany maybe they had to break out the old hardware to have something to fight in?
Also, best nuke effect evar!

It's too bad that PC gaming is dead... :p

If you dig a little deeper you might even find the superior original Ground Control.
IMHO, of course.

I did enjoy the demo back in the day™ but haven't played it since. I do have the game sitting in my shelf though, maybe i should give it a try someday.

What are you guys smoking. I agree this looks really really nice but think yall need to take a closer look. It looks to me like it will run fine on a 7x series card and a decent processor.
Pic #1 - Very nice indeed pic, but notice the up close textures, they are nothing groundbreaking. I play COH on a 7950GT and an E6300, although a different style I would so COH is very comparable graphically.
#2 Cool, nothing crazy fancy.
#3 Cool smoke effects but I see nothing that would make a PC crawl.
#4 Nice smoke again.
#5 Very cool lighting effects and view distance is nice, but really there is not alot going on with the terrain to slow things down.
Etc. Etc.
It looks like the lighting and smoke are a ahead of COH (until 1.7 maybe) but there is nothing about any of them that blow it out of the water. Don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic and I want to play, but the textures and effects going on look very doable on a decent PC right now. I will say this, COH does not work very well zoomed and this looks like it will indeed.

Looks nice and the gameplay looks like it more along the lines of CoH instead of traditional RTS, which is a good thing.

Its actually like BF2 but an RTS, nothing like CS. And yes the CPL also picked FEAR on the 360 as a game.
