Soul Existence (http://www.soulexistence.net/) clan got their hands on Battlefield 2 early through Electronic Arts and have now put together one of the largest and most action packed Battlefield 2 gameplay videos seen yet. The video consists of 35 minutes of non stop action packed video taken from over three hours of MiniDV tape. The video is currently available through FileFront via this link (http://files.filefront.com/Battlefield_2_Retail_Video_SE2/;3893024;;/fileinfo.html).

This video seriously kicks ass!

Yes please. There's no way I'm gonna finish this download at this speed.

My speeds have picked up a bit, but it's still slow.. (3 hours or so remaining).. Whoever gets this first should post it to Filerush.. I'll check and add it myself if I'm done first.

Well, I got it downloaded, but I tried to open it with a 3rd party media player and now EA is suing me. :-(

This definitely proves the game is not for me. If this is action packed, then wow. I couldn't sit through more than 5 minutes, even checking different spots in the video.

I know how unpopular this is going to sound - and mind you I haven't played the game yet (never had time to d/l the demo) - but this video really makes me want to run out and pick this up. Looks like an absolute blast. I realize gameplay footage still means very little as anything can, arguably, be made to look pretty, but this really looks like nothing but fun. I'll at least have to check out the demo, if anything.

Side note. Not to get weird-politcal and thread-jack, but does anyone else feel kind of awkward playing these types of games with everything going on overseas? I find myself generally fired up to play, I'll log on and start running around but I often get disenchanted pretty early in. I don't know if it's guilt (have a friend that's been over and is going back this fall) or what, but I usually can't play games like BF2 as of late. Am I alone in this?

Heh. Maybe I can find a way to blame EA on that too :)

The game is a blast and it's even more exciting when you're really playing the game. I suggest you try out the demo before you buy it, just so you can get a feel for what the full game will be like.

as far as the political thing, I sometimes feel awkward playing war games because real people are dieing in real wars but then I remind my self that it's just a game. Battlefield games are more fun rather then serious, so you should be fine.

I wonder what kind of machine he is running it on, he was getting average 30FPS, sometimes high teens. Just goes to show ya that you dont have to have the smoothest running game to be on top scores. I ran the demo at 90FPS, I hope the rest of the maps run that good.

he said on his site forums that he was running an AMD Athlon XP 3200+ with 1GB of RAM and a Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb for that vid.
