Eurogamer has played the new Batman game and their review is up. Check it out here (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=59678).
To end on another "aptly", Batman Begins is never going to set the world alight. It's too simplistic, formulaic and unadventurous in its approach, and you feel a lot like a passenger for the most part. You might as well just watch the film. But, on the other hand, it's really quite inoffensive, and perfectly capable of holding your attention without being overly frustrating if you can get past the fact that it's nothing special.
EA in formulaic game shocker.

Seems like if you want to attract the untapped potential of the casual gamers - or even the non-gamers - then you probably don't want to hit them with Ninja Gaiden. Relatively short, relatively easy, probably somewhat cheaper to produce...makes sense from a business standpoint.

I'm surprised that all these Batman Begins reviews are mentioning Spider-Man 2 (the game) in slightly negative contexts. I thought the game was pretty widely loved, critically.

I guess people prefer linear and smooth to nonlinear and kind of jagged. Clearly a compromise is best.

I just don't remember Spider-Man 2 getting bad ratings at all.

I guess 80-ish% isn't stellar by any means, but still. The game didn't have as many problems as these reviewers seems to be saying. (Meaning this review and the IGN review.)

Maybe he's referring to the PC version of Spiderman 2. Wasn't that supposed to be pretty crappy?

IGN are a bunch of ASSMONKEYS on some sort of "We'll show those gamemaker's who's boss" tyrates right now.

I believe NOTHING those guys say.

Spiderman 2 was pretty cool. I got my money's worth. Same with Revenge of the Sith (although I got a discount so it only cost me $43). Most places say this is pretty cool and I've been waiting for a good Batman game since my NES, so IGN can piss off!

erm. The review here was Eurogamer, not IGN. The other review was IGN.
