Create exactly the city you want: build uniquely-designed structures, from residences to corporate skyscrapers. Improve the quality of life by providing recreational and entertainment opportunities-without letting taxes spiral out of control. Solve traffic and pollution problems and sustain the city resources needed to keep the peace. Spend wisely to keep your town prosperous, wealthy, contented and healthy.

If they want to remake a Sim game, they should remake SimTower. But I agree with Goronmon...

Hmmm Rain of Terror skipped the "catch" of the game:
But will you be able to make the six cultures of City Life live peacefully together without favoring one of them or will you promote exclusion? How can you get the suits and the scum live together? How can you satisfy both the young fringe element and the riche elite?

and some features:
* 300 unique and customizable buildings
* 45 missions in campaign mode
* Manage road traffic and congestion
* 6 urban cultures with unique desires and needs
* Season and night/day cycles
* Full real-time 3D with numerous special effects

The 6 different cultures sounds interesting. The game looks pretty bad though, they're trying to make what will wright decided not to: a free roaming camera. The city has to be extremely detailed and look really good to support that feature.

Btw: SimTower is a japanese game, Maxis simply published it in the west (and maybe ported it, in case it wasn't a win32 game).

Yeah, I've always wanted a free roaming camera in Sim City, but I always hoped it would look better.

Did you peeps see the shots? I just love those 90 degree curves!

C'mon, you can do better than that.

I want a Streets of Sim City type game, that's actually good. :(
