www.VideoGameAuctions.co.uk has just launched and seems to be pretty useful, but I'll have to look around a little more before I can make a sound judgement. It's set up kinda like Ebay and you can bid on games, systems and accessories.
Go check it out!
Editor: I got a Bart's Nightmare cartridge laying around. I wonder how much it'd fetch.

But... err... couldn't I just use eBay for this?

Hmm, that's what I was thinking. I'm not against the idea, but I use Half.com and occasionally eBay, and the key to selling, at least, is a wide audience. Maybe once this takes off (if it does) it will be a viable option.
Edit: This site is UK based, so it's not real useful for me here in NorCal.

Didn't realize that. Thanks, looks like a miss to me...
I'll just stick to Ebay for my auctions fix.

I don't see how this site does anything that ebay doesn't do.

Maybe they they allow those "special backup" copies of the games for sale?

I think you meant "how much I'd have to pay to get someone to take this off my hands."

Hmm, a UK site for once. Nice. But won't a specialist site like that just rack up the prices even more than a wide-audience site like ebay would? Methinks so.

yeah right...ebay gets damned expensive these days too. I never use it anymore. Especially the incredible shipping charges by idiots. It's ridonkulous.

Thats the disadvantage to bidding on ebay, everyone knows about it so there are always gonna be 20 other people wanting what you've got the hots for. Not that I internet auction alot, but other auctions sites frequently sell things for less (IMO) because there are less people competing with bids. The flip side is selection is crap... you get what you pay for ;)
This is at least pretty cool as a streamlined version of Ebay. Thanks for the find. I may have to give it a whirl some time.

I had Bart's Nightmare for the SNES... One of the only SNES games that I owned, and didn't like. The game was just too fuggin hard, at least back then, I don't know about now. The concept was cool though, and the graphics were well done if I remember correctly.

Yet it is not streamlined. if anything, the interface and organization is more of a hassle. I call for a vote of no confidence.

I want my integrated Paypal! I'll just use Ebay.

So far the sellers are all UK-based and don't ship overseas, which pretty much eliminates 90% of the curious people that have visited the site during the last few days.

Agreed. I remember renting Barts Nightmare and banging my head on it's gameplay for hours, it wasn't enjoyable to say the least.

Well, it looked better than Bart versus the Aliens on the NES. Though I seem to recall many of the character's colouring was done incorrectly.

I wonder what eBay think of their logo...

I dont think there will be an issues with Ebay and the logo. It was researched pretty well ;)
Anyone here tried VGA? The only issue apparent at the moment is that US members dont seem to want to start posting stuff. Over half the current membership is from the US or Canada.
Anyway, I dont wish to spam, I have stuff on there, but would gladly answer any questions anyone may have.
Expect more Press to hit the net next week when an update with some great new features hits :)
Thanks for your time..and fantastic forums by the way :)
