If you are looking for a little information on the second season of ABC's Lost (http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index.html), check out This Forum Thread (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2831) I just started with a few hints from the shows writers.
Obviously the thread contains spoilers, which is why it isn't posted here on the main page.

Does anyone know when Season 2 is supposed to start?

Season 1 repeat started 2 weeks ago. So far, only the 2 hour pilot has aired, so if you want to get started with Lost, now is the time.

A good place to go for info on lost is http://lostlinks.net/ They have the comic book in pdf format, translations from the voices in forest, translations of french broadcast, etc.

My wife is hooked, but I find it too much tease and not enough substance. I can live with everything not being wrapped up each episode (or even each season; Babylon 5 ruled) so long as I get the impression that we're going somewhere and that the writers actually know what the destination is. I don't get that impression with Lost, and I can't stay interested.

Default time was Wednesday at 8pm... I've seen the re-runs on later now though I think.
Thank gosh for Shaw's digital cable boxes and a DVR box.

I am not looking at any of those spoilers. No way in hell. Besides, the writers like to mislead us.

I just wish they would re-air the Two hour beginning.

In the pilot episode, if you watch closely something blurry swoops in at the jet engine, the engine blows up, and the blurry thing swoops away. WTF is that...

Incorrect. That is a badly edited clip that shows nothing. Watch the episode and you will see what I'm talking about.
In that episode, the engine blows up because some dude gets sucked into the still-running engine, not because something swooped down and made the engine explode. What you are seeing is probably some kind of a shadow from poorly done CGI.

Then you aren't paying attention. With all of the connections from episode to episode, sometimes one bit in an episode late in the season connecting to something barely noticable in the first episode, it's quite clear the writers have this show well thought out.
As with most people who don't like Lost, you seem to be only be half-watching it. That's not enough to get the experience, it's not as simple or as straight forward as Babylon 5.

Yes I know the engine exploded because the guy sucked in. I didn't noticed the swooping thing until someone video captured (http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~ms322801/lostturbineenhanced.gif) the scene in question and I went back and rewatched the pilot episode again.
I know the guy who did the CG for the show and his stuff isn't poorly done.
