Left 4 Dead Hands-On [360/PC]

For those of you who don't already know, Left 4 Dead is a first person multiplayer co-op survival horror shooter built on the Source engine. Left 4 Dead pits 4 human Survivors against 4 human or AI controlled boss infected, which with the help of dozens upon dozens of the AI-controlled infected horde, try their hardest to make the Survivors fail.

This just jumped up on my watch list as one of my most anticipated games of 2007.

It sure sounds good on paper but we'll have to see how it plays in the real world. The Ship sounded even better than this and it ended up being pretty underwhelming.

This is exactly the multiplayer mode I thought Dead Rising would have the minute I heard about it.

Oh man, I just cannot get enough zombies. I just finished replaying RE4, saw Grindhouse in theaters twice, and just finished reading part 6 of the walking dead series, and I still need this game right now.

Wow...as always when I see Source engine screenshots, I'm reminded that no other engine can beat it when rendering real human faces. That research at Black Mesa paid of for Valve, shooting them damn near past the uncanny valley.

And this game sounds like fun...but 4v4? I wonder if that scales to 6v2 or even 7v1 :)

I'm sure I could run it on my PC, but 360 multiplayer has been a more roundly positive experience for me, so I don't have any question that that's where I'll be playing it.
