The clever eyes at Gamecloud have spotted some information (http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=314) in a job listing on Gamasutra that gives a few hints about Warren Spector's next game.

According to the job listing for a graphics/system programmer, "His new title will have features such as action combat, large scale creatures and will be in the FRPG genre." So far there has been no formal announcement of what the game is or indeed of Juction Point itself with Spector staying quiet in public about his new venture.

So he's making something Elder Scrolls style? Interesting.

FRPG meaning Fist Person RPG? With action? A spiritual successor to Deus Ex? My pants... they are... so wet...

I can't wait for Warren's next game. Now there's something worth waiting for.

Mmm... interesting news, but I'm not holding my breath. Yet.

After Deus Ex and System Shock I worship this man. Deliver the goods, Warren.

I remember reading a brief article a while back at GameSpot shortly after Warren left Ion Storm. He dropped some hints about his next game, and it did indeed sound like it will be very similar to Deus Ex. I can only hope that he can come through and right the wrong that was perpetrated on the DX series by Harvey Smith.

Speaking of System Shock, what ever happened to BioShock? I haven't heard much about it since it's announcement.

I keep running into him every E3 where he just walks the show floor because no-one recognizes him. I talked to him this E3 while we were watching a 360 demonstration and he said his new game was being developed for XBox360 and PS3 (Can't remember if he said PC or Revolution though).

One of the genius's of our time...

Best news of the day right there. The man could make a FRPG involving a toaster and it would be one of the best games released that year.
