GTA-LibertyStories.com (http://www.gta-libertycitystories.com/home/index.php?id=pages/screens) has some...surprise surprise...Liberty Stories screenshots.

Wow...I must say that looks pretty damn good for a handheld system.

Wow, it looks almost as good as the PS2 versions, sign me up. I wonder if they'll still have the radio stations?

Heh, that's not saying much. But yeah, it does looks like they're using the PSP hardware to it's potential (aside from it being underclocked, I know), which is a good thing.

Any word on if they'll be doing some kind of content download for this title as well yet?

Har Har Har

PS2 has da jaggies!

When you can program huge city areas and keep it running smooth, give me a call and I'll kiss your ass.

It's called a PC, try getting one.

Edit: This is only in response to darkwarior, please continue the thread ignoring this little debacle. I don't want to sidetrack the topic.

It would be cool if this game played like the older gta games. Those were some fun and also freaking hard to drive because you couldnt see ahead of your screen :P.

I thought the graphics were going to be from a top down perspective like GTA1 and GAT2. Is there another GTA game in development that I got this one mixed up with or was it just wishful thinking?

Maybe you're thinking of the GTA that was released on the GBA just recently.

If I remember correctly, it got pretty decent reviews. I wanted to pick it up at one point but never got around to it.

Wasn't GTA2 from a different perspective than the first? It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure it was.

was that any good?It runs like a turd, sadly. Extremely slow. It also lacks the atmosphere of the first two GTA games due to the lack of music and radio stations and the small screen doesn't really help either.

I liked the GBA version. Not the greatest game ever, but fun enough.

I wonder if this game will be streaming data. probably not for battery considerations.

From what I read, there will be no free-roaming, simply missions that load. This was due in part to streaming issues off of the UMD but also, I am sure, battery life associated with UMD access.

They say you can use MP3s from your memory stick in the game, which is pretty awesome. I like how important sound design is to this series.

From Take-Two's financial statement:

In the fourth quarter, Rockstar is introducing an all new Grand Theft Auto title, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, exclusively for the PSP system. Returning to Liberty City, the setting of Grand Theft Auto 3, the title has an entirely original storyline with all new missions and the freedom, production value and depth of play comparable to other Grand Theft Auto titles.

Also, Thierry Nguyen of OPM says (http://www.quartertothree.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18984&start=30) he was told by Rockstar that it would keep the free-roaming gameplay. I haven't seen the actual OPM article, though; maybe it goes into more detail on this.

Cool. I'd like to be wrong about that cause it isn't much like GTA without the free-roaming.

I'm so gonna end up rubbing the PSP all over my body with this game, although I do that already cause I love my PSP.

This is a good reason to never borrow someone's PSP.
Sick.
