Famitsu Polls Japanese Gamers, Finds Out They Want Big Titles Multiplatform

So what does that mean for any of us? Well, it means that if any of these companies, such as Square, are listening then we very well may see FFXIII come to the Xbox 360. The list contains all the big talked-about titles such as MGS4 and Biohazard (RE) 5, as well as Monster Hunter 3 and Dragon Quest IX.

1. Final Fantasy XIII - Square Enix’s flagship series is a PS3 exclusive, and there’s nothing to suggest that would ever change, but fans point to the still relatively small market share of Sony’s high-end machine and say that the title could be a much bigger hit if it sold on the Xbox 360. Still, Sony and its loyal fans say that the market share of the PS3 will grow significantly once the title hits the racks.

Not only that. But there are so many thousands of games, aside from Final Fantasy and Metal Gear solid. Gods I wish for something new and fresh. Dead Rising was the first game to make me saw...wow. So many weapons, so many animations and a cool story. And its not a sequel.

I think you misinterpreted that last part of the FFXIII thing. It seems to be stating that Sony has loyal fans still that say the PS3 user base will grow much bigger than it has so far.

See, I think this can be good in the long run. If the big titles are available on anything, the console makers are going to have to come up with more innovations and gimmicks to get me to buy their unit.

I'm confused, were the Famitsu readers asked if they wanted these particular games multiplatform or specifically on the 360? The article reads to me as though the 360 comments might be a bit of editorializing. It just seems too odd for the Japanese market to care about xbox.

They were simply asked about multiplatform. The Japanese do not want these games on the 360; they want them on the Wii. Although I don't see how most of them could possibly make it there...

How many people were polled. I remember reading a suprising poll from famitsu's website, and then saw that there were only about 50 something votes.

Still, this is a pretty surprising poll.
