GamesAreFun.com has posted the translations (http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=5148) (which are based on other translations? (http://www.gamefront.de/)) of the latest Famitsu survey on next-gen consoles.
5. Will you develop for each console? (Developers only, of course)

PlayStation 3
12.8% - We are already developing.
38.5% - We will develop.
17.9% - We will consider development.
2.6% - We will not develop.
28.2% - No opinion/unknown.

Revolution
0.0% - We are already developing.
23.1% - We will develop.
17.9% - We will consider development.
10.3% - We will not develop.
48.7% - No opinion/unknown.

Xbox 360
28.2% - We are already developing.
12.8% - We will develop.
15.4% - We will consider development.
0.0% - We will not develop.
43.6% - No opinion/unknown.
There are too many without opinions to take this as a given, but it's disheartening to see that no definite 3rd Party development has begun yet.
Or maybe they are just being tight-lipped.

Not too shocking, nobody knows what the Revolution is...and at this point I'm begining to think Nintendo doesn't either.

There isn’t a single developer who won’t develop for the Xbox 360 even in Japan? Well that’s interesting. And about the Revolution; it makes sense that they don't have anyone currently developing for it, they haven't even finalized their controller and it's not coming out for at least a year and a half.

Interesting numbers for Japan. Looks like MS truly is making up ground there.

Of the ones who actually gave an answer...

While I am a bit surprised that nothing that been done, I find those numbers frightening. This will be a delayed, or a sparse, launch for Nintendo. Again.

You never know, from what I remember, the Revolution is going to bet he last of the next-gen systems being released. Its not like the launch date is right around the corner...

Famitsu releases some pretty crappy information. I'm beginning to associate them with some sort of Japanese games tabloid. Almost 50% of developers did not comment on revolution and 360, yeah real useful information here.

You only need 20-25% response for a good statistical survey.

Assuming that the survey was conducted accurately, the fact that 30-50%ish of people said N/A indicates that 30-50%ish of people who answered weren't developers when they did the survey (the survey was directed at retailers, consumers and developers). Actually I'm kind of surprised at how many people did answer question 5

I don't get Famitsu, but I DO know that it's a well respected publication in Japan. That's a pretty scathing indictment you've thrown out there... do you have some proof to go with it?

Proof? This is the internet. Proof is never required ;)

Considering no one knows what the Rev is yet, that's pretty useless and inaccurate info. Others are interesting though.

I'm no statistician but I see very little usefulness in the results of that survey. In my opinion, with so many developers not commenting it's possible that things could be totally different form what is being shown. My guess is that a lot of them simply have not decided yet which platforms to support, but with such a large amount unaccounted for anything is possible. As for me calling Famitsu a games tabloid, it just seems like a lot of the stuff getting posted here that came from them is pure rumor. I guess that does not make them a tabloid but they do seem to print more rumor type news than other games magazines that I've read.

It's no secret that there isn't a single company outside of Nintendo's close circle of friends developing Revolution software. Nintendo doesn't seem to care, either...

It appears that they've just given up on 3rd party support. I mean this thing is supposed to release alongside the PS3 and there are no games in development? I could name at least 10 developers that have confirmed having PS3 titles in progress.

They get a lot of exclusive information, but content-wise they are fairly shoddy (a lot of pictures and glam, very little text, extremely short reviews). So I'd say they are something between a decent gaming reviews mag and a tabloid :)

Interesting, though fairly useless.

After seeing Capcom clean up in worldwide sales, who can blame them? :D
