8.3a has just been release, fixing a 'bad compile'.

A third revision of the ubiquitous Garry's Mod Eight has been released for Half-Life 2. This version is a major leap forward for AI and supports co-op with all the usual GM trappings, as can be seen from this shortened change-log:

Garry's mod is a physics maniuplator (best way i can think to put it) for Half-Life 2.

Interesting opinion. It's jackholes like you that are making this site less appealing to visit every day. How about not being a raging cock and understand that maybe some people either don't regularly play halflife 2 anymore, or don't play a lot of mods. My point was that his post to the front page could have been a touch more informative.

I havn't played HL2 in MONTHS. And I have really rarely plyed it. I still know what garry's mod is.. It's been posted on this site many times before.

Either way, I think one can agree this site has a lot of HL2 news. In second place only to Halo. You're bound to run into garry's mod at some point.

There a number of singleplayer mods for HL2 out now, and some of them are decent. I got them off PC gamer demo disk and so I can't link you anywhere off the top of my head, but try looking for 'Leon Hl2' or 'Be a Rebel'.

All of EA's mods are pretty lenient about this type of stuff (or they're just not here...cept bapenquin) as long as it's a proper debate. Any more personal than that and it gets unconfortable.

Garrys mod has come along way, this release is really impressive.

Just tried out coop, its nice, but lvl loading takes a while, if you willing to wait then by all means.

just make a remote control air boat, and a cannon to soon ballons and bugs, and a working lift.

brilliant absolutely brilliant.

next on the agenda is have a remote control building contest and design a curcuit for people to race on, all this at the touch of a button.

Perhaps my standards are too high, but I hated both of them. Das Roboss, Antlion Troopers and the two Doom (hanger and nuclearplant) conversions have been the only ones I've enoyed so far.
