Scans from a recent EA catalog show Burnout Legends coming to the Nintendo DS with Internet Wi-Fi play. Previously announced for the PSP and now for the DS, if you enjoy the Burnout series you will be able to get your fix on no matter what portable system you choose.

Also, the rather questionable Marvel Namesis: Rise of the Imperfects game is also announced for the DS in the same catalog.

Whoa, didn't see that coming.

I thought Criterion took a blood oath to never work on a Nintendo system ever again, because it clashed with their religious principals or something.

I photoshopped these pictures so people can actually see what's on them:

Well this is a pleasant suprise. Animal Crossing sold me the system, but Burnout Legends and Nintendogs will round out my little library.

Criterion seemed to have no problem with Nintendo until EA bought them, and even then the problem was lack of an online network. I still think Burnout really doesn't need online, but they obviously think it's the most important feature or something.

I cannot see the DS being nearly powerful enough to bring all of Burnout's glory to the handheld. Perhaps I will be proven wrong... but I doubt it.

I'll take the PSP version, thanks. :P

Based on the fact that these screenshots are in widescreen and look very good I'm gonna guess they're not from the DS version.

Burnout 3 = best racing game evar!

But yeah, I'll take my fix on the XBox or PSP, thank you...

Considering there are 2x the number of DS units in people's hands, I think a lot od people will pick up Burnout for the DS too. If you have both, feel free to pick up the PSP version for the graphics but realize there will be potentially fewer people online.

I am curious how chatting will take place in the game. The interface for chatting with people on the PSP sucks dirty monkey ass. If the communication on the DS includes a virtual keyboard or VOIP, I'm sold on that version.

What good is playing multiplayer if you can't communicate with the other players?

Having played many online games, why would you want to communicate with other players?

To make sure they know how much they suck?

To make sure they know how much they suck?

Exactly, I mean, how else would they know?

And so you can inform them that they're faggorts.

I finally played Burnout 3 and I still don't see why everyone is so in love with it.

It's one of those games a group of people can get stoned and still be able to play.
