So, you're a demigod, with your portion of an available 132 minions and you've got to manage them all. How exactly does one do this? Camps! You know, otherwordly places where you go to outfit and set groupings and barracks and...Yeah, but do I just hang my minions on a coat rack? Or, do they stay in my backpack of unlimited holding?

Not exactly. Camp management is part of every soldier's life and apparently the responsibility of every aspiring deity. We were taken to a basic camp, in the realm of the gods no less. Here I found my Optio (quartermaster) and my Custos Armocum (minion outfitter). Long term you'll have barracks, décor, trophies and the like. But other than fancy Latin names, what exactly do these two guys do for you? Well…ever have an outfit ready for a Saturday night? (Ok, does your girlfriend have one ready for a Saturday night?)

First, you need to figure out the basics…shoes, pants, shirt…the composition of the formation you're building. Does this Carthaginian belong in the group of healers? Are these strapping Gauls here the tanks? Maybe this group will be the one I use with a bit of everything? That's what ole Optio is there for. Then you need your accessories…your earrings and purse and the like. Head on over to Custos Armocum and he'll give you the necessary weapons, armor and accoutrements. It's Saturday night! Time to kick some gorgon uhhh…tail? Grab the tanks! Ready, Sir! There's more about how you work dungeons into Rome, death, instance use...and I'm finally done! This is definitely in my top 10 Most Anticipated games for the year. I saw it at last E3 and it won tons of awards and all the press who see it just seem to go nuts over it. . . for whatever reason though, people who haven't actually played it or seen it demoed just don't seem to be aware of this (or at least really interested about it).

It would suck if this game comes out and is as great as it looks like it will be but no one plays it.

Too bad Deodatus left. He was the one that made the community awesome.

I really want to know more about the game, well I know some about it, but I want to know more about what makes it unique besides the setting. As it does have unique things to set it apart from other MMOs.

The minion system, and the visceral combat. Read Ophelia's preview as it talks about these in depth.

It really speaks volumes to me that we can have an extremely well written 2 part preview up and in total these stories have seen maybe 12 posts. I hate to keep harping on it, but this one is seriously getting lost in the shuffle. There are bigger games with much more hype being released at the same SCHEDULED time as this (notice I didn't NOT say "better").

It's a shame because this game really seems like it's trying to add new concepts to the MMO world.

I too hope this great sounding game doesn't get crushed in the November MMO release... if both Age of Conan and this pull off all of their stated game mechanisms I'll have a tough choice to make.

One question... can you jump? I dont think I can play another 1st avatar RPG where you can't jump ...

PS: pets (troops?) as loot is a pretty awesome idea. Imagine the "scantily clad large chested" pet phenom....

Rei - You can jump.

Personally, I'll choose my minions based on how well they deal, soak, or mend damage, etc. but feel free to go after the ones with the most revealing clothes and chests. :)

Ah, but the ones with the most revealing clothes will SELL for the most! :p

Glad to hear you can jump, thanks.
