Hip Interactive (http://www.romerogame.com/) is offering three people a chance to be a zombie in new George A. Romero's City of the Dead videogame. The contest information and rules are posted here (http://www.gamespot.com/promos/2005/hipzombie/) on Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/promos/2005/hipzombie/). The contest runs from June 8th 2005 to June 22nd 2005.

The title is being developed for the PC, PS2 and Xbox and slated to be released in 2006.

This could be pretty damn cool, anyone going to do it?

Oh, I thought this meant that in G.A. Romero's new game, you get to play as a zombie. That would have been interesting.

I wonder if when George Romero decided to get into videogames that there were already a million games out there where you fight zombies.

Actually if you werent just pulling numbers out of your ass i would agree with you but Pure zombie based games they are few and far apart now adays. Significant series about zombies (resident evil,zombies ate my neihbourhood?)

Not exacty the same, but in multiplayer, if get bitten, you have a short time to live before you become a zombie and can turn on your team mates. Not as cool as actually being a zombie though.
