Anybody else think this should be FREE after buying a $150 peripheral? *shrug*

The Hradcore Mode was supposed to be free. Back when the developers were talking about this getting implemented, it was always talked about as being part of a free update. Nice to see Atari giving everyone the finger.
A comment on Major Nelson's site suggests the force feedback patch was released a day before these updates (I'm assuming for free), and that the hardcore mode is just that: an extra mode.

This game now supports the FF wheel? Guess where I'll stop on my way home!

For the driving fans out there, how is the wireless racing wheel? $150 is a steep price, but Forza looks completely bad ass.

The wheel is a really neat piece of kit. There's no feeling of fighting cogs from the force feedback, instead it delivers the power very smoothly.

No you don't have to. You can play the game the way they released it in the first place.

the free update that they were suppose to give away, that also fixes the insane physics currently present in the game?

Anyone notice that the free car is 25mb but the pack with SEVEN cars is 25MB too?!?.. Hmmm.. you don't think we are just unlocking what's allready there do you?..
And what's this BS about having to buy a harder difficulty level?.. that's a first.

It's not a harder difficulty level, it's actually a separate section of the game chosen from the front-end menu.
Hardcore mode doesn't have single-player events, but you can play online. The physics are trickier (ie cars harder to control) and there's an onscreen display of throttle, grip, g-force etc.

I'm almost done with this game. I have all of the single-player achievements, and all I need now is the 5000 mile achievement (I'm about 1000 miles short) and the multiplayer achievements. I hope to get this done before Forza 2 comes out, for I will have no life come this May.
(If you have this game and need an online achievement buddy, please PM me. :D)

The free pack probably has all the cars, if you decide to buy the full pack after downloading the free car, you unlock all of them. The same thing happened in PGR3.

free has all of cars in order to display the correct models online. you cannot buy the cars you do not have, it will just display the correct car models if someone around you has bought them in game.
yes, similiar to pgr 3.
