Well, Elevator Action is a no-brainer. I haven't had a chance to play the other two recently, I wonder how they fare?

The NES version of elevator action was kinda lame compared to the origional. A good example would be NES version of donkey kong vs it's arcade version.
Super gouls and gosts is perhapse the best of the series and a must buy not to mention it's difficult but not throw your controller difficult like super ghosts and goblins.
Sword of vermillion was one of the first RPGs for the genesis and a great game with cool platform style action boss fights but it had to compete with phantasy starr 2 at the time so it was overshadowed.

Any sites that have a complete list of VC releases for the US. I am thinking of bring mine into work this week for updates and to see what VC games I should/will grab.
As suggested below. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Virtual_Console_games_%28North_America%29)
Suggestions are of course always appreciated.

Super Ghouls and Ghosts, definitely a must buy.
Although I should make sure it's not on my PS2 Capcom Classics Collection disc.

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is top notch. I'm over the fad of buying VC titles though right now. Plus I think I still have that cart for my snes here somewhere.

Sword of Vermillion was an good game. It was second-tier after Phantasy Star and Shining Force, but still a remarkably decent game.
I think I made a good choice to avoid a Wii - the amount of cash I would spend on all these VC releases would bankrupt me.
Here's a link for it:

Didn't think much of the snes sg&g. The earlier games, particularly the genesis, were better.
Sword of Vermillion is an underrated game, that I spent a ton of hours on back in the day. I probably wouldn't pay $8 for it now, but I'd say that about at least 95% of the VC games.

Sword was good in it's day, but a real chore to play now. I tried it on the PS2 collection. Just talking to people is a pain, you have to hit your menu button, and then choose Talk to talk or something ridiculous like that.
Last summer when I was still in Boston I picked up a copy of Sword of Vermillion at the MIT Flea for like $5. I never finished the game, I rented it when it was still rentable and played through most of it, then my mom made me return it and some twerp deleted my save!

SGNG was a really good game as was SOV. I played through SOV probably 4 times through my life so far. Its worth a run through if you've never played it. Yes, the controls for things like talking in towns are "old" but hey, its an old game! It took a different approach to battles then other games of its time. Random battles took you to a screen that you could move around and had to fight the monsters in real time with both wep and magic. The boss battles were really unique for the time. The bosses were HUGE for the day and although the controlls for your character were stiff for the boss fights it was still a fun experience. As I recall the story was also pretty good with more the a couple twists. Damnit, now I want to play it....

Your cart for the Snes would be super ghosts and goblins. Super gouls and ghosts was in the arcade first then on the sega genesis. It can also be found on the xbox/ps2 capcom classics disc.

I used to be a complete Elevator Action junkie back in the day....like 20+ years ago. :D I have to agree that the arcade version is much better than the NES version however. I'm still tempted to pick this one up though.

well, there goes the rest of my Wii Points...well spent though, so I can't complain. I loved Elevator Action, and only got to play Ghouls and Ghosts a few times, but enough to like it
