Looks like we have a short and sweet Madness today. I picked up a few copies of Psychonauts to give away. Please leave thoughts on any or all games above.

I'll throw in my vote for Neverwinter Nights 2. The official campaign is pretty good (especially the end) and we're starting to see user-created modules come out. Of course, I'm somewhat biased as I have my own campaign (http://adamandjamie.com/nwn2/) that I'm working on. Hopefully I'll be able to release the first module in the next few weeks. It has voice acting, custom content, and is hopefully fun to play as well. I've already Pirate Cards (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2ModulesEnglish.Detail&id=61), which is a collectable card game style gameplay. Fun, fun, fun.

I own all 4 of those, and those are some awesome prices. I'm currently playing through NWN2, after impulse-buying it because I was in the mood for a big RPG.

I know it's been done to death here, but if you don't have Psychonauts, GO GET IT!

I've heard people see it for 10 bucks. Ebay has it for 20 at least...and It's not at my Best Buy.

Holy shit, Pip, I had no idea that was you. I am very much looking forward to your campaign coming out, as I really enjoyed the ones you did for NwN1. I'm also glad that it won't be out for a few weeks, as I'm currently on my way out of the country on business, so it would suck to have it come out and not get to play it.

As for the other games, C&C Generals is certainly worth $5. It lacks the personality of the real C&C games, but it has fairly solid game play. By now everyone who comes to EvAv should own Psychonauts, so I really can't do more then mention people need to buy it a second time.

They sell out of it all the time. The game typically sells out more than once each madness. Maybe someone with an online store, like GoGamer.com can explain it.

If Planescape is really high, send them a polite email asking if they plan to reduce its price soon. They will likely adjust the price. I know the guys that run gogamer and they are sane, cool people.

What's funny, is even at $33, I don't want Supreme Commander. That demo left such a harsh taste in my mouth, that I may stay away forever. Its a shame. But at least C&C3 is coming!

I felt the same way, then I caved in and bought it. Felt worse after. Just don't. The game has a specific playstyle that is exactly along the lines of the Demo. If you didn't enjoy the demo. You wont enjoy the game.

I decided to grab Psychonauts from this Madness and then tacked on Prey as it's now down to $20. It's time my PC got some lovin' and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. isn't out yet.

Alas, I just ordered Psychonauts at its "standard" price of $10 from GoGamer when they had Dark Messiah on sale for $15. But if what everyone says is true, I should not lament spending twice as much on it (i.e. instead of $5).

I just sold Supreme Commander to a friend. I found that the units looked kinda plan, plus you really need a monster system to run it well with anything turned up. It kinda felt like you had these tons of units that were half as good as a unit in other RTS games. Its like they wanted a grander scale battle, but feels totally unnecessary and time consuming. I've heard that most of the battles start out at a snail pace and do get interesting later, but since playing the C&C3 demo I haven't really gone back to it.

Yeah, the Dark Messiah I got was UK-rated but I patched it with the US patch so... whatever. It took me a while to trick it into running on a Vista machine, though.

Psychonaughts is a great game. Supreme Commander kinda' let me down. It's a VERY cool game mechanic to have that sort of scaling at your fingertips but the game is slow and ugly :(

Wow, I got that exact Planescape/Soulbring pack for under $10 a few years ago. I'm kind of surprised to see it going to full price - it never was full price in stores (the pack, not the games separately of course). Not that I've spent much time with either one. :(

As for Psychonauts, I'd love to play it, but I don't have the means to. I'm hoping I can get it running on a Mac when I buy one later this year. I should have picked it up before I sold my Xbox in 2005, but alas I never did. For that matter I never got to player Silent Hill 4 or Shenmue 2 either - and I bought the system for Shenmue 2!
