Mmmm, I only played a few minutes of GTA: SA on PS2. I think I've got to pick this up on the PC......badly.

Samurai Western looks pretty cool. Too bad it doesn't have a PAL release date yet.

Hey, I enjoy the big blue room with that bright light.
Edit: oh yes, the X-Files DVD is a milking. Skim at best.

I was going to take a day off to play GTA San Andreas on the PC but an absolute gem of a game called "Boiling point" has been taking up all my time recently... Anyone play it? ignore the bugs, it's really good :)

I'm shocked and amazed that Robert Rodriguez, the director behind the Spy Kids movies and Shark Boy and Lava Girl, also made Sin City.
So how is San Andreas? Is it a leap forward in the series, or does it have an "expansion-pack" feel to it?

I'm not surprised because his kid movies make MONEY.

Im totally geting gta san andreas for my sex box. It looks hot.
San Andreas is expansion packish, but its totally cool, and you probably won't get bored. The whole game is stacked, and it is innovative in a way. I mean, they made a damn huge game. DOing this originally on the ps2 is innovative enough for me. I'm more excited about GTA : Liberty City Stories for psp. Any thoughts on those multiplayer screens?

Yeah, what's the deal with that? Just some random episodes from the series slapped together? Nothing new I took it when I saw a commercial for it.

Since they've released all of the seasons on DVD now, they've gone back and done these anthology sets. This set is just a lot of episodes that form the backbone 'MYTHOLOGY' of the X-Files ie. most, if not all of the alien abduction ones.
Frankly, the mythology episodes were the ones I liked the least on X-Files when it ran originally. I much preferred the one-off episodes where they'd hunt down a werewolf or the guy with the killer shadow, etc.
Once they started to focus on the alien abduction/colonization mythology aspect instead of just using it sparingly I began to lose interest in X-Files. That was pretty much the last two seasons. I still think they should have finished the series after the movie... but that's just me...

There was "lag" between when I hit a key and when the character moved. It was unbareable, which is too bad because it had such promise.

In the Groove on PS2.
About damn time. I'm spending way too much money at the arcades trying to pass 11 footers. :p
(Then again, with StepMania there's no real reason to get it but Roxor deserves support for beating Konami at their own game)

Anyone know anything about the new Medal of Honor game? I was thinking that might be a fun game to play for a bit, as I am one of the few that hasn't been WWII'd out. I didn't play any of the big WWII games that came out for PC a while ago, so this caught my eye.
Also thinking hard about picking up GTA, even though I bought a PS2 specifically for that game, and hardly played it cause it was so ugly on the HDTV with the PS2.

Yeah. It kinda came out of nowhere, didn't it? It's like Morrowind in South America.
So much to do. A huge seamless world to explore. Stats to improve. Weapons to buy/steal and upgrade. Vehicles to purchase/steal and drive and fly. Jungles to trek through. Missions for various groups for money and acclaim. Little wars breaking out in the countryside.
Sadly, it must be said that the game is riddled with bugs, bad design choices, and awkward controls. In this regard, I think it's almost worse than Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines... But if you can suffer through some of that stuff it's still worth checking out. And that's really saying something.
(Speaking of the bugs, I some of them are hilarious: I was rampaging around the first city and shot one of the street vendors in the face while he was in the middle of his "Buy my donuts" spiel. Well, he fell down dead, blood draining out onto the pavement, but that didn't stop him from completing his spiel. He kept shouting about the donuts he was selling, lips still moving even. It was eerie.)
