Venture into the city of Metronome, a sprawling mass of haphazardly built houses and huge steam engines where the outlandish inhabitants are carrying out their chores day and night, a city where the life of every citizen is dictated by the Corporation, a single bureaucratic entity that owns all the land, the entire infrastructure and all the industries.

Explore winding alleys, skewed rooftops and crowded apartment buildings as you search for proof of the Corporations secret agenda, all while listening for sounds to record. Sounds that can be used for a variety of tasks: fight enemies with loud and destructive sounds, solve problems and confuse citizens by clever usage of the right sound at the right moment, use seductive and melodious sounds to change the mood and behaviour of listeners.Ever since our City of Metronome E3 preview (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=25597), we became intrigued with the project, so we decided to squeeze in a quick Q&A with Team Tarsier's Pelle Bergman (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=25622).

Here's a question they should have asked: Do you have a publisher yet?

Too bad Epic bought out the Reality Engine they were using.

This game looks really nice. Good to see that we swedes can make even more cool games theese days. Looking forward to Battlefield 2, The Darkness and this one now. Oh, and I almost forgot about Massives (Ground Control 2) new project, hope they reveal it soon.

Worthplaying is down. You'd think that maybe one of the other major sites would have a preview of such an innovative-sounding game but no.

Lodin, that question wasnt asked, because they don't have a publisher yet.

I guess since we knew, we failed to just include it for informational purposes. Either way, they are still looking for a publisher, and we hope by giving them coverage somebody notices and signs them.

The project is beyond any doubt intriguing, and still a little ways off from completion, so I'm sure somebody will sign them shortly.

They did? How come nobody reported it on this site?

Couple of months back, quite a few developers licensed the Reality for its budget-priced licensing fee.

Funny, I thought I had read about the deal here but the search didn't pull anything up. Anyway it happened just a few weeks ago and quite a few developers are pissed (http://angrydev.blogspot.com/2005/05/moment-if-i-may-to-address-gamers.html). Quite sad really.

Epic bought the Reality Engine and killed it off right away, incorporating some of its features in the Unreal Engine 3.

Assuming the engine was up and running, current projects using it will probably still be able to continue development, but developers who had purchased Reality Engine licenses prior to this sale will be offered upgrades to Unreal Engine 3 at significantly discounted prices.

Yes, except they didn't mention that reality licensees can't afford even 10% of the 1 million chachins it costs to license UE3. A lot of these people are upstarts with some experience, they don't have publishers' backing yet.
