Bluesnews (http://bluesnews.com/) has the scoop (http://bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=57431) on Mindscape delaying the U.K. release of Dungeon Lords. The game was originally due for release in May is now pushed out to July 1st.

Mindscape has today taken the decision to delay the release of Dungeon Lords by three weeks, to allow the award-winning development team additional time to address and polish some aspects of the gameplay.

Mindscape apologises for this delay, however, as a distributor and publisher of quality leisure and games software, Mindscape feels honour bound to offering only the best titles, produced to the highest of standards, to its loyal fan and customer base.

Dungeon Lords will now be available for PC on 1st July 2005

I wasted part of my life on the U.S. version of this game, and I seriously doubt the extra month will help at all. They need at least another six months of testing and fixing to make this game worth playing.

This was by far the worst demo I have ever played in my life and that includes alpha and beta versions of demos after being in the industry for 14 years. How they shipped this is mind boggling.

What awards have they won?

Dungeon Lords should not have happend. I bet that even if lords of evil at EA were making it, it would be better, or at least would have been shitcannd when they realized the game just sucks and cannot be redeemed.

Yeah, this game sucks complete and utter ass. I really doubt there's anything they could do to fix it. Even buggy games like Boiling Point and Restricted Area can be fun but this POS just plain blows.
Bad publisher, go in your corner! No monies for you!

Nothing to say beyond what's been said. They didn't even bother to program furniture in the buildings, for crying out loud. Amazing that this game even made it TO testing, let alone out of it.

Honestly, though, if you're looking for medieval combat that doesn't suck, go check these guys out - Mount & Blade (http://www.taleworlds.com) - at version .632, it's already more polished than Dungeon Lords will probably ever get, and has mounted combat to boot. (Realistic RP rather than fantasy, but... well... it doesn't suck.) ;)

Why were the Brits given this respite and not us?
