TalkXBox (http://www.talkxbox.com/article1196.html) has a bit of news that ATI isn't looking for a one night stand with the XBox 360 and Microsoft. They'd like to garner in a long term relationship."Our view is that when we enter a partnership like Xbox with Microsoft, it's not a one-shot. It's really a launch on a long-term partnership," Orton told Reuters in Taipei.

"So the opportunity is to do much more together in a range of devices, and that's what we want to do because we believe this technology is ultimately redeployable in different forms".

Can you say handheld market?

Handheld market is one thing, but I think this will be an interesting partnetship. May even lead to better ATI driver support in windows.

So do I! Please, Mr. Gates, let me be your buddy.

Everyone and their significant other/dog/cat/budgie/whatever knows that Evil is Bill Gates' go-to guy, so maybe we all are buddies of Microsoft by proxy?

It also helps that they have the potential to sell far more 360 GPUs than their high-end PC GPUs. I think this is ATI doing some butt kissing, plain and simple.

i thought Evil Avatar WAS Microsoft's buddy. I am coming to believe that this place is really the Microsoft Employees Lounge, and the posting of gaming news is really just a cover. ;) Where's the Sony and Nintendo love? (okay, so Pumped Up is Sony love and Kamalot is Nintendo, but really, they are out numbered)

Me? I'm Devil's Advocate :)

ATI is just doing design. MS can (and probably will) take their GPU, which MS owns completely, and have some random fab owner in China run them off.
