Lots of gaming goodness to happen this weekend in the states as most people have a three day weekend! WoW, CoH/V, CoH, GRAW, what is it to be this weekend?

FFVI and WoW for me.

I think I might finally beat Resistance, play some Pirates! on the PSP, and maybe get back into some Age of Empires on the DS. If I actually get the time, it'd be nice to get back to Rogue Galaxy too.
Finishing up Lego SW2 and Kameo probably. Got Kameo for a £10 and it's been great fun if a bit shit in parts.
I'd be tempted to try out the last of the games I bought with my 360, PGR3, after but I'm having a movie weekend with the misses. That and I haven't touched MUA for the Wii yet.

I'm going for the 7-day Survivor achievement in Dead Rising. I imagine it will take the better part of the weekend, so I'm not planning on anything else. I'll be playing so Contact on the DS if I have a chance.

i finished "hotel dusk", so i'm moving on (or back to) "phoenix wright, ace attorney" and tons of team terrorist hunt in rainbow six vegas on the 360.
i'm trying desperately to *not* play the "crackdown" demo (again) since i am holding out for next week's release (fuggin-a!) and don't want to get too spoiled with the whole accelerated training stuff. i see "crackdown" being the subject of many of these future "what are you playing?" posts in the very near future...

What I'm playing:
F-Zero (SNES), F-Zero X (N64), F-Zero Maximum Velocity (Ewww, GBA), F-Zero GP Legends (GBA), F-Zero Climax (Import! GBA), F-Zero GX (Gamecube) and maybe some SSBM and Gears.
So, yeah, as you can tell, I am a big F-Zero fan. Hehehehe!
EDIT - I have a four day weekend! So on Tuesday , I will be playing Crackdown too!

I am a big F-Zero fan. Hehehehe!
Don't forget to buy a 64DD for the F-Zero X Expansion ;) It's a crime that F-zero GX didn't have a track editor for the one or two of us who passed on the DD.
I'll be playing, um, more WarioWare, TJ & Earl (first game I've ever bought twice :( ), and the Guitar Heroes if I get to fixing Red Octane's @#$% cheap guitar.

Put together my new computer this past weekend so I'll be continuing to have an awesome time playing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic with all the effects turned to max. :]
I'll also be playing more of Zelda : Twilight Princess, some Excite Truck and Wario Ware with my girlfriend, and then the continuing tournament battle in Amplitude between a couple of friends.
Maybe I'll finally beat Jumpin' Jack Flash on the third difficulty in Elite Beat Agents too.

Only thing I can guarantee is CoH/V, since I've still got 6.5 characters I want to get those Valentine's rewards on.
Probably some FFIV, since I've been playing as my 'I have to wait in line, I'll play some GBA' game whilst I wait for my replacement copy of FFVI to come in (my original was defective).
Hopefully some Rogue Galaxy, or FFXII, or Lost Planet, or Dead Rising, or heck, even Valkyrie Profile 2, or.....
...
Damnit, I need another vacation to catch up on my games. Or I need to quit CoH/V.

I'm playing hard to get. My wife loves it when I tease.
/haha!
I'm also playing the "what time is it? I can't remember...I've been up with the newborn so many times now, it's all a blur. And where did she spit up now?" game. That's a fun one as well.
And, on the occasional moment when I can play a video game, I'm enjoying Root Beer Tapper, GoW against my brother, and that's about it.

Playing LOTR online still. Digging it so much I actually went ahead and did a preorder. There's just something about the way the classes feel, its hard to explain, they feel different than your average MMO, sure you have your fighters and healers etc, but the skills just seem far more better implimented and more interesting than most MMO's out there right now.
Not to mention the user base, at least in the beta seems far far more mature than the WoW crowd, makes finding pickup groups that actually work together and get stuff done a hell of alot easier and fun.

Not much time on the games this weekend. My daughter is going to State Tournament in HS Bowling. Two long days in Tacoma... in a bowling alley! Might dig out the GBA-SP and start up Fire Emblem again... while pounding pitchers of sub-standard beer.
I've got President's Day off for the first time in 29 years! I'll probably sleep!

My X360 box finally showed up yesterday so I can ship it in for repairs. Yes, folks, it took one entire week for the BOX TO SHOW UP.
I dropped it off at the UPS Store for shipment, then wandered next door to Gamestop in a funk. Saw a used Xbox Component cable for five bucks, so I bought it, went home, and hooked up one of my 2 original Xboxes we use for Halo LAN parties to my bedroom HDTV.
So, this weekend, I think I'll try playing one of my non-BC games that I never got a chance to play before the X360 came out.

Going to finish up my new save of Chrono Trigger, first of all. I might go out this evening and pick up Burning Crusade for my birthday, along with FF6 Advance. Or I might wait until tomorrow and go to the Gamestop in a near by town and pick up those two games along with Lunar Knights. My birthday is tomorrow, btw, but I'm not going to be doing anything particularly special. I want to keep enough money laying around for Crackdown, so I may not pick up Lunar Knights.
FFXII and some Rainbow Six Vegas.
Happy Birthday Perigon.

Do you have broadband? If you do, you gotta rip your cat-5 cable outta your PC and plug it into your X360, and download a bajillion demos. Or take it over to a friend's house and borrow their internets overnight. Of particular interest:
Lost Planet E3 2006
Tomb Raider: Legend
Fight Night Round 3
Crackdown
Saint's Row
That's about a week's worth of solid entertainment right there.

Well, my Gamecube died and I'm at the Temple of Time in Zelda:TP, so I'm not so happy. I got invited back into the LotR Online beta for good, so I'll be playing that (loving it so far). Some Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Xbox360), and some Kingdom Hearts 2.

I want to play Rogue Galaxy and Burning Crusade, but I can't due to the fact that I'm stuck at the in-laws all weekend. That means lots of DS for me. I'm going to fire up Hotel Dusk (finally) and actually get a bit further than the beginning of Chapter 2.
I've been looking forward to this game for the last few weeks since I picked it up but between finishing off Phoenix Wright: And Justice For All and playing the "Do Every Renovation Chore My Pregnant Wife Asks Me To" game for most of last week, I just haven't had any time to play the DS.
If I can't focus on Hotel Dusk due to being too tired, I'll probably play some Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Meteos or maybe some Touch Detective.
I've also been playing a lot of Dice Wars over on wiicade.com (http://www.wiicade.com). Who needs the VC when I have all of these great free games to play on my PC and the Wii?

January - Week 2: Landed in Honolulu. Had a couple of days worth of jetlag. During that time, my PSP tided me over with Lumines II, Gunpey, and Every Extend Extra.
January - Week 3: Completed Children of Mana, played a little of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, some Clubhouse Games for my DS.
January - Week 4: Lucked out and found a GameStop near the hotel my family and I are staying at. Managed to pick up a few games for my last/current-gen systems and some new games priced a $20.00. :D
February: My DS Lite has completely dominated my free time. Games I'm playing now are Final Fantasy Crack [III], Final Fantasy [Dawn of Souls], Final Fantasy V, and New Super Mario Bros.
Today, I snagged a copy of Final Fantasy VI Advance. I'm pretty much good to go for awhile. :)

Hello, Spigot. :)
Edit: Crap! :o I meant VI [six], not IV [four]. But I do have it. Like IV, I have to put this one down, as I didn't finish FF I or III yet.
I got my hands full with Final Fantasy I (need to take down the game's final boss), and Crack [III] (need to take down the final boss, yet I'm sidetracked more with checking out some of the other job classes than actually beating the game).
Spigot
02-16-2007, 10:37 PM
I hear ya, Avey. I have only put in about 5 hours on FFIII as I got sidetracked with FFV Advance when it hit late last year. I am THIS close to finishing V...
I'd have picked up VI already but I need to wait until March. I can't wait to finally beat that game. I got really close waaaay back in the day but I've been resisting starting it on my SNES because I crave the portability of it on the GBA.
Evil Avnovice
02-16-2007, 10:46 PM
The way it happened to me was that I started Final Fantasy V and I put it down for some other games. When I picked up Final Fantasy III, I popped it in mainly just to test drive the game.
All of a sudden, what was supposed to be a few minutes of seeing how the game worked, I was completely absorbed into FF III before I knew it. I picked up FF V and completed an area, then put it back down for III again.
Now having picked up FF VI from GameStop today, I already tested it just a little. I really need to learn to restrain myself. ;)

WTF? You're in Hawaii and you're sitting around playing videogames? WTF?Even a tropical paradise gets a little dull after days of sipping mai-tai's on the beach and watching grass-skirted bikini models strut by for weeks on end.
The mind craves stimulation and that can only be found in the pixellated depths of the Final Fantasy series.
Either that, or what we mainlanders concider to be Hawaii is actually an elaborate farce perpetrated on the sound stage next to where they faked the moon landing. The real Hawaii is a volcanic Hell on Earth where the only respite from suffering is the twice daily sips of salty brine.
If that's the case, can you blame him for playing games all day, if only to distract him from the horrible keening of the thousands of damned souls who have fallen for the 'coconut bra' myth?

I'll be playing through Eragon, Star Trek Legacy and History Channel: Civil War to get my points for the rewards challenge.
And lots and lots of Ratchet And Clank: Size Matters. I picked it up last night when I went to see if my BB broke street on Crackdown.
