Ubisoft revealed today an all-new downloadable content (DLC) package coming up for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, exclusively for the Xbox 360.

The Player's Pack Red Edition is scheduled to be available on Xbox Live Marketplace at the end of March and it will include five more playable multiplayer maps and two new game modes. Below you can find screenshots of this content as well as the description for the new maps and modes:

Three Brand-New MP Adversarial Maps: Three brand-new MP maps are included for a brand-new Vegas multiplayer experience.

* Doscala Restaurant - This well-known Italian restaurant is located in the heart of Las Vegas, near the famous Fremont Street.
* Marshalling Yard - This century-old service yard is situated in the center of an industrial district. Still active today, it is primarily used to store cars, but is also equipped with cleaning and maintenance facilities.
* Roof - A coffee factory has been overrun in the continuing gang violence that is wreaking havoc in this Mexican border town. The strategic positioning of the factory makes it highly desirable to control, and therefore a focal point of the violence.

Two Revisited, Relit MP Adversarial Maps: Two favorite Rainbow Six Vegas MP maps are revisited and relit for a new gameplay experience.

* Border Town - Redux
* Killhouse - Redux

Two New Modes: Two all-new game modes that can be played in the 10 original maps and the five new maps add to Vegas' long list of available game types.

* Assassination mode - The goal of the Attackers is to eliminate a high-value asset of the Defenders, who in turn will try to defend and escort the VIP to his extraction zone.
* Total Conquest - This is a team-oriented, static control-point game mode where each map contains three Mobile Radar Installations (control points). To win, a team must activate and maintain control of at least one of the three Mobile Radar Installations for a given period of time.

Too bad they hadn't thought of adding new weapons. I'd like a re-lit version of the AK.

The new modes sound great. I'm a bit confused by the Relit maps. Did they just redo all the lighting, or what?

As I understand it, the "time-of-day" will be affected for the re-lit maps.

I bought this game a while back and have not played it. I have a friend who is threatening my life if I do not start soon. He was telling me about this add-on pack this morning but he didn't know the price. I guess they have not announced it yet?

No, the price has not been decided. Don't be surprised if it comes in at the same price as Chapter 2 for GRAW.

As for not playing the game - what the hell are you waiting for? Once you get beyond the opening level, the game kicks all kinds of ass. :)

Do you think any of these new maps will be available for Terrorist Hunt? I'm getting a little bored with the map selection.

That is what I keep hearing. I have been devoting the little game time I have to FFXII. I am afraid if I stop playing it again, I will stop for good. Other than that I have jumped into a few games of multiplayer Gears. I think I am going to fore go the Gears next time and start on some Rainbow Six Vegas.

Sorry for any typo's. I am at work and trying to stay awake. This job is boring from about 11:30 am - 5:00 pm. At least they get a few hours of work from me in the mornings.

Past that I've enjoyed most of the game I've gotten through, despite it being pretty damn difficult to see what I'm shooting at a large percentage of the time.

I have to fire this game up again, I got to the Casino level, i think level 4. Then I got the dreaded ring of red. Since I got my new box I haven't fired it up yet. I think i'll do some online action tonight......and rein, start playing the game.

I got the content for GRAW (which was more then was listed here) and when R6 came out, GRAW got traded in.
With GRAW2 coming soon, I'm not sure I'd pay a lot for add-in content at this point.

These "re-lit" level packs are weak. I know this pack adds a few new maps and a couple of new modes, but crowing about the awesome new lighting on an old map is lame. Marketers need to stop. Changing the lightmap on a level DOES NOT change the gameplay significantly unless it goes from broad daylight to pitch black or vice versa.

Re-lit maps are a nice extra, but no one should be expected to pay for them.

Exclusive for the 360? Weak. I picked up the PC copy of this because I wanted to play with my roommates who don't own 360s, and we are starving for some new maps!

I loved Vegas, so I am waiting for this pack. Vegas in my opinion should have won more Gow awards for 2006. AAA game.

Am I the only one that actually likes the relighting? Sure, it's not like they have to do all that much to change the lighting, but Killhouse at night should be fun with sniper rifles.

Oh, I have a 360 (and a pathetic gamerscore (http://profile.mygamercard.net/Mishima%20Reika) to go with it), but none of my roommates do. Games that feature split-screen are great for us (we all completed Gears co-op, etc) - but it's hard to own multiple consoles in the same house. We have a big screen tv and a tiny one in the back room, but we all have decent computers. For games like R6, computers will always win for us (as long as they keep making PC releases!)

It's just like when a driving/racing game includes the reversed tracks in the overall number of tracks in the game. There was almost no work involved! Stop trying to make it seem like you did me a favor!

I fired up with 2 of my buddies over live playing the campaign. So I've done 3, don't quote me but I'm pretty sure 4 people is possible.

Awesome game. My favorite shooter of 2006. These maps will be downloaded on the first day :P

For me it's the game that made Gears fade into the background.

At least in that case the reverse tracks are included with the game. In this case you're getting a whopping three whole maps for your extra $10-15.

The only games I usually purchase are RTS and FPS games. FPS games being my first choice, and this game is probably the best FPS to date. With great single player graphics and some nice game design (e.g., team interaction, cover system, etc.) I hope this game is up for an award.

The only issues I have with RB6 Vegas is the stiff PC requirements. I'm able to play the game with smooth framerates, but my buddies with lower to mid end PC's are suffering. This just shows you how the developers put no time into optimizing the 360 to PC port. I'm sure the developers were under pressure from UBISoft to provide a PC version as quickly as possibly for xmas of 2006.

Overall great game, but horrible port.

BTW - I still don't know how people can play FPS games with a console controller. You're aim, quickness, and responsiveness is comprimised with a controller. All FPS games should be played with a mouse and keyboard.

Trust me fitbabits, I tried to play multiple FPS games on a console controller. The responsiveness is sub par compared to a keyboard and mouse. Have you ever tried playing a FPS on a keyboard / mouse setup? I'm assuming that you haven't because of your response.

How can you stoop to using a keyboard/mouse when they compromise your aim, quickness, and responsiveness compared to aimbots and other hacks?

The important thing about a game is that it's designed around its controller and the playing field is level. Having slower or more inaccurate aiming isn't some inherent disability when the game is designed for it and every player has to deal with it. A FPS designed for a controller is no different than a mouse-keyboard FPS designed around the idea of limited accuracy (a la Counterstrike, etc.).

(And come on, how many hardcore gamers haven't played a FPS with mouse-keyboard before? That's an absurd suggestion on your part.)

(I can't believe I'm getting into a mouse-keyboard FPS argument. Somebody shoot me now, or if you prefer just highlight one of my pixels and click...)
