Like the title says, is selling full arcade cabinet machines. They carry big-name real arcade units like [url=http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Revolution-Super-Nova/dp/B000JXE8YC/sr=1-2/qid=1170614007/ref=sr_1_2/002-2323625-1213668?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods]Dance Dance Revolution Super Nova (]Amazon.com[/url) (New - $17,999.00) and even a few cocktail tables (http://www.amazon.com/Galaga-Cocktail-Table-Arcade-Machine/dp/B000MB59M6/sr=1-38/qid=1170614388/ref=sr_1_38/002-2323625-1213668?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods). While not for collectors, Amazon.com now gives those with a bit of cash the ability to bring the arcade home.

Saw this last week when I went looking for a DVD. I'd love to have an arcade machine, but from what I understand you shouldn't buy them new. You can get them for just a couple thousand used. But that is just what I heard.

It's actually dazadi.com selling them through Amazon. And not only that, but the shipping is free, which when you think about it is a pretty big deal.
Man, though... $18k for a DDR machine. People would need to play 18,000 3-song sets at $1 each to recoup that. Each 3-song set takes ~10 minutes, so that's 3000 hours of constant use. Well, 2 player mode gives double returns, so let's assume it's more like 2000 hours. I don't know... is that viable?

Ever since I was a kid my ambition was to own a Defender cabinet. I pumped so much pocket money into that thing it's untrue. Unfortunately my wife would kill me stone, dead, if I ever did. :(

Hopefully they have free shipping on that puppy. ;)
I have three arcade cabs (Japanese-style, sit-down, units): one JAMMA cab; one 4-slot Neo-Geo cab; one vertically-oriented JAMMA cab. None of them cost me more than $300 (sans games.)

Yeah, this is none too big a deal. Amazon is constantly adding companies to their stock to buy from. I mean, if I'm not mistaken, most video game products just come from Toys R Us through there.

You can get used DDR machines for 2k now and upgrade the boards to Supernova. Buying from a site like Amazon is retarded.

Used to be toys r us, but they finally broke free, which is why you can now get free shipping on games off Amazon

Defender...not because it's a great game, but because I have such terrific memories of playing that thing with my best friend in high school. His dad worked all night at a local tennis club (cleaning the courts and such), so we'd go in with him and, with tinsel taped to a quarter, rack up 99 credits and play all night.
It was absolutely freaking awesome. I'd love the game for nostalgia...

It's pretty nuts, but cool. I can also get them from our local arcades. Just not the great selection.

I miss the days of sweet arcades. I should build one for myself.

I myself was hopeing that amazon would choose to sell one of those cabinets that plays tons of classic games for a tenth of the price of a new cab.
