The Armchair Empire has posted a retrospective piece (http://www.armchairempire.com/classic_gaming/snatcher.htm) looking back at Hideo Kojima's SEGA CD classic, Snatcher. The article spends a lot of time comparing the events and themes found in the game with various films that would appear to have been influences on Kojima at the time. Some of the comparisons are obvious, such as Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, others will likely be far more obscure to some (like Chris Marker's La Jetee).

It's called Policenauts, and it never came out here. It almost came out for the Saturn in the US, but was quietly cancelled. Which is a damn shame; I loved Snatcher.

Gotta love the Snatch! It made the Sega CD actually worth having.

That game was great. I played it on a Sega CD emulator on my softmodded Xbox around 6 months ago. It was an easy game, but I really dug the style and music.
