Found here (http://jobs.gamasutra.com/jobseekerx/viewjobrss.asp?cjid=8914&accountno=95). Here's the screen itself (yes, actual size).

George says it's real and in-game (http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?id=13727349)

Well, it's definitely real if George said it was. I think the question is whether or not it's actually in-game and not cinema scene.

If it's an in-game shot, just how the fuck do you control your character in first person? Is there some sort of out-of-body experience gimmick which has been kept under wraps so far, or is there an identical twin for the Duke?

'in-game shot' can mean using the in-game engine for real-time cinematics.

Oh, and the job listing sez 'PC, Xbox 360' for platforms...did we know this already? Not that we really cared.

I've known about the potential existence of an Xbox 360 version for a while, but I guess it's just not that newsworthy saying as it's as likely to see the light of day as Paris Hilton is likely to say something coherent.

Fit, sometimes your naivety astounds me. It's possible to be in-game but not be controlled by the character. Developers have been known to do cutscenes using the game's engine instead of dropping in a pre-rendered video.

Bad example. That screenshot looks like it was rendered in MS Paint.

OK, so DNF has one frame done. At 60 fps for 10 hours of playing time, they just need to do, uh... 2,159,999 more screenshots and paste them together in a flip-book. DNF will go gold by spring.

That has to be an action figure. There was a company called Resaurus that made Duke figures, they had a model of an upcoming and more realistic looking Duke figure, but it was never put in production because the company went out of business. That screen looks like the figure that was never released.

I am simply amazed at how few potshots are taken against Duke Nukem Forever in this thread. When other news surface (not media content) 90% of all posters in here bash 3Drealms and George calling them names etc. Like they killed your firstborn or something. The 3Drealms hatred has been extremely vocal and now they seem to calm down just because of this tiny screenshot!

What is gonna happen when they release videos or more screenshots? These 3Drealms haters will probably all cheer and say "looking forward to it!". Sigh.

How quickly things change on the internet. I was a bit worried that 3Drealms might have caught too much of a bad vibe, but it is apparent how fickle and unimportant these posters really are. If the game is beautiful and good it doesn't really matter what the history is. This will still sell millions if it is good!

I have always trusted George in the sense that he always believed what he said. When he said they had the final engine down a few years back I believed him. When he says this is in-game I believe him too. After the engine comment I believed they would release in 2007 or start 2008. I still belive that.. although it would be much easier to just hate them.
