Out of the games set to launch before years end on the Nintendo GameCube, Geist is easily one of the most anticipated. To start, it's a first-person shooter on a system notorious for not having many. Second, Geist promises an interesting blend of paranormal action and old-fashioned puzzle solving. Players will assume the role of John Raimi, a disease-control agent employed by the federal government.

This game looks promising.

I'm pretty interested in this one, the E3 preview I saw at GameSpot was quite promising.

I'm just wondering how well a true FPS will control on the Gamecube, since if they go with the current trend in control schemes for FPS's that'll put a lot of control on the C-stick. And that just wouldn't work very well, IMO.

Why would it be any different from the other console's dual analog setups? The C-stick is just as accurate.

I can't wait to posess a dog bowl so i can scare the crap out of a dog in order to take posession of it! :)

All kidding aside, this sounds like a really interesting game.

This looks interesting. I wish it wasn't on the GC... outside of Metroid and Resident Evil, I don't see any reason for spending money on that thing.

Actually, the tension on the C-Stick (movement and feedback) works quite well for FPSs. Getting used to the small nub will take a little while, but it's worth it.

And the Geist art is awesome. The different view effects look beautiful.
