TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com) has posted a hands-on preview (http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1005/Condemned-Criminal-Origins/p1/) including in-game footage and screenshots of Condemned: Criminal Origins for the Xbox 360.
Here's a bit from the article of what the game offers in the form of combat...
Condemned is an action game at its heart, but it does take some new strides in the weapons department. Those gamers looking for a change from the bulk of first-person shooters currently available should be pleasantly surprised with what Condemned has to offer. Players can carry only one weapon at a time...the weapons include a locker door pulled off its hinges, a piece of wood, scrap metal, and an iron pipe with some cement placed at the tip. Also included were the typical handgun and shotgun style of weaponry...What was interesting about these weapons is that players will never pick up ammo, or even carry it for that matter. Thomas is limited to the number of bullets a weapon has upon picking it up. None of these weapons have a long range attack, which means the combat is up in the player’s grill.
Looks gritty and fun. Guess I'll start saving my pennies for the new system and this title.
