Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year from Evil Avatar.com.
I still can't believe it's 2007!
So did anyone make a resolution for this year? Or maybe set a goal?

1. Play more games than the last few years! I have been better about this (i.e. playing more) the last few months.
2. Floss.

I've never been one for resolutions. I just find goals tend to be doomed to failure if they are made simply because an arbitrary day has come on the calendar (like New Year's), rather than a 100% genuine want to better one's self. Sure, there's exceptions, but all I can think of are all of the people that clutter up gyms and weight rooms across North America at the start of the year, and are almost all gone by Febuary. :\

Happy 2007 all!
Mine are:
1: Stop eating soo much junk food. So I'm completely eliminating it from my diet.
2: Lift weights 5 days a week as opposed to my previous 3 days a week.
3: Gain 20 pounds.
4: Take more road trips.
5: Become a more stable driver. I'm an excellent driver, but I'm waay to aggresive. I'm gonna cause an accident if I don't stop.
So those are mine, and I'm stickin to em!
Good luck to everyone else with their goals.

Wow, red pile. We had a thread about this a bit ago, but to sum up:
1) Continue with Japanese studies
2) Get new job, and hopefully like it
3) Waste less time on the net.
4) Improve mental discipline / resolve.
my goal: have a better year than last year.
And last year was pretty damn good.

I managed to get my wife to go to the gym with me four times this past week. If I can get her hooked, we'll both go all the time, and I'll consider 2007 resolutions completely successful.

Well last year I lost over 100lbs... this year I think I'll finish losing weight and start body training for reals.
I want to learn how to draw better and stop spending so much time on the computer! Woot!

You lost 100lbs? Dude, that's a fucking massive achievement and one for which you can be rightly proud (unless you're now only 60lbs, that is). Congrats and keep up the hard word.
Happy New Year!
I only have one resolution that I make every year and that is to survive till next New Years. So far I have kept my resolutions for the past 8 years.

I have always disliked resolutions - if you don't make them, you can't break them. But this year, I am setting them - because resolutions are goals and everyone needs goals.
1. Teach my daughters more computer games.
2. Get back to writing six days a week.
3. Play less computer games, more guitar. (This is odd, because the last half of last year I did play less computer games than before - but the first part of the year was killed by WoW and CoH/V).
4. Exercise with wife to help her lose the baby weight she had gained.
5. Get back into my real profession (this goes with number 2).
6. Tell Evil this is still the best damn gaming website with the best readers. (Well, I just did, so I guess I can cross that off.)

Happy New Year People!!
1. Get job that I enjoy.
2. Learn Ruby.
3. Clean up credit.
Sad, because I just started this job in Oct.. Its a completely disorganized mess though and I really can't stand to work there. There is zero direction and everybody just kisses each others asses rather than making proper decisions. I am so out of there.

Happy New Year all.
Personally, I don’t make yearly resolutions; I make daily ones and keep them. But I hope everyone achieves whatever goals they may have.

Much like OUX, I like setting the resolution of "Don't die." during this day, but I'll stretch that and set a couple of others:
1. Lose at least 30 pounds
2. Make the decision to either keep or sell my old gaming systems
3. Graduate college
4. Set up my new business
5. Remodel basement

I've already got two of them kicked in the bud.
1) Waste less time on the internet; at home and work.
2) Really really quit smoking (I'm 2 weeks in or so right now but I until I get past that stage where I regret quitting I think I'm still in danger of relapse).
3) Lose 20 more pounds. I lost nearly 40lbs last year, 20 or 30 more will put me at the "ideal" weight for my height.
4) Accomplish #3 by working out, not via work stress :)
Happy New Years everyone!

1. Smile more.
2. Get my 360 gamerscore to 2500 (from its current 325).
3. Gain 15 pounds of muscle by 8/26/07. (everyone else seems to want to lose weight, no idea why. I've been 145 lbs since high school and I want to know what it's like to be bigger).
4. Get back into my school.
5. Write more.
6. Finish 2 screenplays by 2:45 PM on 9/21/07.
7. Give (and get) more hugs.
8. Play more games.
9. Buy a car by 1/2/08.
10. Save more.

I've got two goals...
1) Pay off the credit cards
2) Lose 30 pounds.
I've just about paid off the credit card, and I'm going to try to shoot for a 1-3 week detox diet...not related to alcohol, but one of those cleansing diets to purge toxins that build up in the body over time.
If I lose weight while doing that, then all the better, but mainly just trying to get my body aligned.
