In a great acknowledgment of the people who have been instrumental in keeping our pastime in the safe entertainment arena where it belongs, Game Politics has named a number of US Judges as Persons of the Year (http://www.gamepolitics.com/).
And thus, GamePolitics 2006 Persons of the Year are Judges. More than any individual, judges collectively shaped the political landscape of gaming in 2006.
The last twelve months were a time in which video games came under attack from many quarters. State legislatures in Louisiana, Minnesota and Oklahoma passed restrictive video game legislation. Governors in those states signed those bills into law.
