Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has a new trailer out courtesy of E3. Featuring such things as big walking mechs, hovering jets, and some nifty footage of a humvee like vehicle falling off a cliff. Overall the trailer makes me want the game pretty bad. Sadly we will all have to wait since the trailer also states the game isn't due out till 2006. Looks like the BF2 killer isn't going to be around to kill BF2.
Filefont (http://files.filefront.com/Enemy_Territory_Quake_Wars_E3_2005_Trailer/;3854337;;/fileinfo.html) has the goods on this one. (Note: The sound is pretty bad since it was obviously taped at E3 but the picture is pretty good).
Glad to see the Doom 3 engine is capable of rendering pretty decent looking outdoor scenes.

Yeah, guess that shatters the whole "DOOM 3 = cramped indoor environments" thing.

I kind of wish they'd kept the ET look. Wolfenstein had some great art direction.

OOh I just realised how fantastic that would be. All I need is basically a graphically updated version of 3 but with like a 100 hour singleplayer campaign. I just want to fucking duel for hours. Man where is my JK4 cd. I am going to get it.
PS. This trailer has me pretty hyped. It just goes to show that Id are still capable of making kick-ass engines even if their games aren't exactly mindblowing.
This footage looks pretty awesome. The timing of the release is pretty good too. It will be just in time for those who get Q4 to be ready for something new. :)
