TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com/) has posted a preview (http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/997/Kameo-Elements-of-Power/p1/) including a trailer and screenshots of Rare's Kameo: Elements of Power for the Xbox 360. According to the article, Rare scrapped the game that was 90% completed for the Xbox and rebuilt it from the ground up on a 360 box.
Here's a bit on the improvements that were made by making the switch.
Rare had two identical HD monitors running the same scenes in a level. The side by side comparison of the two different versions of Kameo made it quite clear why a game that was 90% complete was scrapped. Even only running at a claimed 30% of the 360’s computing power, Kameo easily trumped its lowly brother
The most glaring difference between what is possible this gen versus next-gen has to do with just how much “stuff” can be going on per frame. An excellent, basic example of this has to do with character count. The scrapped version of Kameo on the Xbox worked hard to feature twenty five non-player characters per screen, whereas the 360 version will feature hundreds; each with full dialogue and functionality. We even caught a glimpse of an additional level which featured 3500 trolls working hard to pester our sweet Kameo.
I hope Rare can really deliver on this. It's been quite sometime since they've had anything that could compare to their excellent work on Goldeneye.
