Harker, huh? Can't say I'd heard of it before now, but I'm a fan of The Collective, so my interest is piqued.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA – December 20, 2006 – The Collective, a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment, announced today that it has launched the official website for its upcoming original game, Harker, at www.harker-game.com. The site contains an all-new gameplay trailer as well as new screenshots and concept art from the game.

Announced in October, Harker is being developed for next generation consoles and is slated for completion in 2008. In the game, which is inspired by the classic horror novel, Dracula, players take on the role of a very different Jonathan Harker - hardened and ruthless - who is on a very personal mission to destroy all vampires after his beloved Mina falls prey to Dracula. The gameplay involves a combination of hunting the undead using Harker’s tracking abilities, along with an up-close and personal combat system, brutally-effective in the execution of the vampires; using a variety of weapons and environmental factors.

Ever since the 1st Buffy game, The Collective is a studio that I anticipate good things from.

About damn time, I mean that movie came out what, 11 years ago? I'm just curious as to who they're going to get to voice Acid Burn since Angelina Jolie is well beyond the point in her career where she's going to do voice overs for video games.

Yeah, except none of the people that worked on the original Buffy work there anymore! Just look at their latest crap and you can tell!

The screenies don't look that good at all. They look very PC or XBox 1. After things like Gears of War & Assassin's Creed, people need to step up! This thing looks like Condemned... at best.

if you are a trek fan you should check out The Fallen (http://www.startrek.com/custom/include/gaming/ds9-fallen/index.htm). also made by the collective, it's probably my favorite trek game released so far. i know that's not saying much, but it's up there with elite force, but has more of a trek feel to it that pushes it over the top.

Do you know where those devs are now? I agree, only Buffy and Indy were any good, everything else sucked.

But I don't agree on the graphics comment.

Why? The game is about Jonathan Harker, so Harker really isn't a bad name. The Witcher on the other hand, isn't a word or a name.

How is it a dumb name? I'm guessing 90% of their target audience will see the name and know exactly what the game is about. Job done.

"No, man, what's it about?"
"Um, harking, I guess."

Looks that way to me...

I mean, you realized you found the crappiest pic of Condemned, but hey... anything's fair to prove your point in the wonderful world of the web.
