Those look pretty good, but I don't think they're any better than what we were expecting. I'd like to see it in motion though.

I already played Ninja Gaiden. Plus those pics lacked the requisite boobage I come to expect of Team Ninja.

Looks amazing still. At least on par with the CG from the original game except real time.

i wonder what extra content it has over NG Black, there seems to be quite a bit judging from those screens (but wonder if the broken camera got fixed). Be cool if it was for 360 too, but meh, NG2 awaits... i hope...

I call'em Circle-Jerks and Idiots (you'd have to be an idiot to buy a system for $600). Oh yeah, can't forget the Wii-tards.

they could have done better than a remake for the ps3. i mean...between the original and black, who the hell has not played the ninja gaiden story?

Really. Screenshots have been next to useless for wow factor for how many years now? It's all about seeing it in motion now. This should look really good though. NG looked astoundingly good on the Xbox.

Sony get some Team Ninja love after a bit of a drought.
Ninja Gaiden was one of my favourite games in a long time - and summed up so many elements of arcade, fighting and action adventure games seamlessly into one perfect, razortight thing of extreme beauty.
I am sincerely happy for all those PS3 owners waiting for quality titles that will release in 2007 - especially those who have never played Ninja Gaiden.
This could be the biggest game on the system in some time.

There is one major problem I have with all of team ninja's works. They are just too damn shiny and clean. This does not look to be an exception.

What "broken" camera?
I never bought Black, but the original NG on the XBOX suffered from some big camera problems in small spaces. If Black corrected this, I may have to grab that on my way home from work and actually hook my XBOX back up. :)

The hair looks a little better than the DOA4/DOAX2 hair, but it's hard to be sure without seeing it in motion. Am I the only one really bothered by Team Ninja's hair implementation?

Why don't Wii games look like this since this basically looks like the Xbox version?

Loved NG of the Xbox, one of the best games ever. Tough as hell though, I never beat it...This looks pretty good, but give me NGII on the 360 That will be much more impressive than a three year old remake...two maybe? I don't remember it's been a long time since I played it.

Maybe.. but there is a lot of content in NGB so it suremy is a good buy, also many Japanese players never played the XBox version so I guess they are the target audience.

You must have overclocked your Xbox, cause my version sure as hell doesn't look like this.

What "broken" camera?
The broken camera that switches position and angles at just the right time to insure you miss your attack.
I really enjoyed NG for a while, but the camera was frustrating as all hell, and the game was difficult for all the wrong reasons.

They should have built something from the ground up, this isn't impressive looking at all. Games like this will give the uneducated consumer the wrong idea of what the PS3 is capable of visually. It's good to see PS3 owners getting some NG love, the game should be solid.
The hair looks a little better than the DOA4/DOAX2 hair, but it's hard to be sure without seeing it in motion. Am I the only one really bothered by Team Ninja's hair implementation?
No.. when playing DoA4 I've allways thought that some of the hair motions should rip the heads off..

This is obviously a test for team ninja to get a handle on the ps3 hardware, as well as to see if it is viable for them as a platform.
Team Ninja missed out on a ton of Japanese profit by being Xbox exclusive with their premier titles. I am expecting them to go multi platform.

I always found that NG was the opposite. If I was losing at the game, I knew it was because I was fucking up, not because of some flaw. If it did have camera problems, I think they were pretty minor

If you took the time (and had the patience to take the beatings), then NInja Gaiden was beatable if you were good enough. It was just like an old school NES game. If you are good enough to beat it, that's it.
Ninja Gaiden did take a little strategy and split second timing. I beat the game, but the hurricane pack kicked my ass. I could never get very far in that. But that staff was awesome to behold. :)

I'll finally get a chance to play Ninja Gaiden, and it will look GOOD.
I played through the demo a few times on a friends Xbox, but never got a shot at the full game. I really enjoyed it then.

The character models look pretty good, but looking in the background, things seem to be the same as with the Xbox version, at least geometry-wise anyway. The most obvious example being that of the arches on the upper left corner of the first picture.

Good riddance. Let the PS3 owners suffer at the hands of bad design. Now if it would just take some of those other poorly designed games with it.

I dunno about that, the cg from the original game looked alot better. (I'm not knocking the game or the ps3 but the original games cg looked alot better then this)

Yeah, obviously HD resolution is a big improvement, but fabric, physics, lighting, and little things like eyes were much better in the original CG. That's certainly no mark against this remake, as it looks beautiful.

Ninja Gaiden's camera was absolutely fine, IMO. The fact that you have the ability to completely block 99% of all attacks (each of which makes a distinctive and obvious sound when being launched) means the few times where the camera gets suboptimal you aren't in any real trouble. I can't imagine a better camera, particularly for a game that moves so fast.
Looks like a PS3 game to me, anything in the distance is blurry as hell. Thanks no texture memory!

Given what MS must've paid Itagaki and Co. to be an Xbox exclusive developer, I doubt they were hurting for money too much.
Besides, what they lacked in Japanese sales, I'm sure they more than made up for in sales in the US, Europe, and other territories where the Xbox console ownership was much higher.

There's also the prominence that comes from having the best selling games on a console in Japan, even if it was the Xbox. There's no way Team Ninja (and by extension Tecmo) could have gotten the reputation they have now by just being another Japanese PS2 developer. And that credibility was one of the main reasons Tecmo created Team Ninja to begin with.
(Their games also sold pretty well overall on Xbox1 too - easily over a million copies for both Ninja Gaiden and DOA3. That's good money for any dev.)

You're joking, right? That's just a depth of field effect. It's used in a lot of next-gen games (and a few last-gen), including the 360's DOA4.
