Here's a short Q&A (http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=17) at Gamecloud from JCal (working part-time over there?) with the Remedy bunch, talking about their new psychological thriller - Alan Wake (http://alanwake.com/) (main site has 5 screenshots now).
There's not much to know, so let me quote the highlights:
Gamecloud - How would you describe the gameplay feel of Alan Wake?
Petri Järvilehto - The gameplay is mission driven, and with the free-roaming world also comes more emphasis on exploration, although intense combat is still definitely one of the things we like doing.
One of the strong gameplay elements in the game is the use of light, but we’re not ready to talk much about that yet.
AND...
Sam Lake - The story arc of Max 2 was modeled after that of a movie. With Alan Wake our template is a season of a TV-series. Alan Wake, season 1, if you will.
Let's hope we'll know more about crazy Alan and his 2km zoom distance after E3. Also if you look to the right on that page, there's a Company of Heroes Q&A.
Liquidize105 doing normal news? Don't get used to it q;P
Update: IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/616/616169p1.html) has the basic Alan Wake premise; eerily refreshing, it sounds like a winner! Thanks Deadend.
