Gametab (http://www.gametab.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526) has some new photos that shed more light on the Revolution. From the looks of it, the system will come in multiple colors and it will contain 4 controller ports for Gamecube controllers and memory cards.

Nifty. Although it would be nice if they could just make the new wireless controllers work with the GC games, but oh well.

They still might. These ports may just be to allow you to use the Bongos, Dance Pad or your GBA as a controller -- any of the wired peripherals. The new controllers may function as a wavebird still.

Very nice. But man those colours are ugly.

But... what? I didn't get these!
<breaks down in tears>
I'm assuming the four controller ports are for GameCube controllers, right?

I'm still wondering what that rectangular part under the disc-feeder slot is, because they said you could put Gamecube games into the feeder just fine. So, what's the other thing for then?

Kinda sexy.
I like black consoles, down with whitey!

Jesus Christ that thing is tiny! I mean, I heard about the size before and all but look at some of those shots where it's compared to a dvd. Holy crap! mmm... Nintendo... Show me a couple decent "mature" games and this might be the system I get!

and Iwata even said this is not the final design...the final design will be even smaller. and yah, what is that under the disc slot? an 8-track player to go along with your downloaded 8 bit gaming?

Oh, that's the Atari 2600 Cartridge slot. They're still discussing Intellivision support at this point.

I think an 8track is bigger than the entire device.

They said that you need to insert something for DVD play back, I bet this is the port for it.
Clearly that port is to plug in a VR headset

This must be covering the slots for two SD media cards which Revolution will reportedly accept, and maybe something else in addition to that.

there's prolly 3 knobs under the cover: tint, contrast, and brightness.

It will also let you select which system you want to play on!
I do need one of those.

Rectangle slot is where you insert the LCD screen for portable play.

those are some seriously hideous colors. What the hell are they thinking. And I don't want any damn neon green either. Why can't they take a look at the colors of the high end entertainment devices these things are going to be sitting next to in our living rooms. Garish freakshow yellows and pinks are not going to work.

Okay, did you see the white, silver and black ones? If none of those match your "entertainment devices", then maybe you'd better exchange your purple jelly vibrator for another toy.

Who told you about my purple jelly vibrator? Wow man, that's spooky. It isn't the silver and the black ones that I think are ugly colors. But who cares, I still have my little you know what.

Oh thank God, different colors. And I was worried.

I don't like being the finnicky person that says "old", but these pics were all in the initial batch that were posted, even on this site, if you just followed the link past the initial image tags in the newspost.

That sound of crickets you hear is the dead buzz around this system. What a joke...they would have been better off sticking with GCN for another couple years. Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves and I, like many fans,am disappointed.

I would prefer people who are obviously not fans of Nintendo not claim such status.
Anyway, I hope they launch with the white one available.

During the News Conference Iwata said that none of the color stuff was decided yet, and showed that picture to give examples of colors they were considering. Then he said something like: "Maybe you can tell us what color you want it to be?"
No human could consider that green
