There's no doubt that FX's police TV series The Shield is one of the best and most provocative shows current on the air. As the fifth season of the show is getting ready to be shown in 2007, developer Point of View and publisher Aspyr are bringing The Shield to PS2 and PC game platforms in early 2007. FiringSquad got a chance to ask some questions of Point of View's lead designer and producer Kraig Horigan and business development head Rob Sandberg (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=13580) to find out more about their plans for The Shield. Here is a snip:
FiringSquad: What was it like working with the cast of the TV series when they voiced their characters in the game?
Kraig Horigan and Rob Sandberg: We recorded the dialog at PCB Production’s Encino studios mid 2004. Michael was the first to record. We were lucky enough to catch him just days before he was scheduled to begin shooting Fantastic 4. Michael performance was absolutely amazing. He nailed almost every line on the first read and required very few pickups. In additions, he adlibbed many lines that he though Vic would say differently as alternate takes that we ultimately used in the final version of the game. In-between takes, Michael would spontaneously break into absolutely hilarious monologs with extremely convincing accents. We were all rolling on the floor laughing our butts off. He is an extremely funny and likeable guy.
