Team Xbox (http://www.teamxbox.com) is reporting that a Ubisoft is working on a second auto-update for Splinter Cell: Double Agent. A host of fixes and improvements are included, some of which are sorely needed.

You can read more here (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/12350/Splinter-Cell-Double-Agent-Auto-Update-2-Coming-Soon/).

* Fix connection issues when the host ends the session.
* Fix the disconnections in the lobby
* Fixed an issue where random players drop once the lobby reaches 5 or 6 people
* Fixed an issue where, after kicking the 6th player from a team, the leader couldn't invite another player
* Fixed a case where the group leader hangs in the "joining session" screen if the host quits while he is joining
* Improvement of server selection so that the server is more reactive
* Fixed an issue where a player leaves a session immediately after arriving causing some packet loss.
* Only 1 disconnect function is now sent to each peer when resolving times out
* In-game freezing : treat a limited number of Unreal packets per frame to avoid freezes in some specific conditions
* Increased network thread priority over sound thread to reduce lag issues
* Fix the case where a player gets flashbanged while lagging as a mercenary; leaving the player permanently flashbanged until they reboot the game
* Fix FPS loss due to a sound problem
* A new GameVersion to avoid LAN matchs between master and update versions
* Randomise loading video
* Fixed a bug on the score calculation of the Maxpercent challenge
* Fixed an issue with "Challenge Best" score
* Improved checks to avoid accessing an invalid leaderboard
Nice job, Ubisoft. Thanks for listening to the people who bought the game and brought some of these issues to your attention.

I really hope after the success in patching of this game they will soon patch the game i traded it in for: Rainbow 6 Vegas.

Thank god, Splinter Cell has a notorious reputation for being really fun to play in a LAN environment, but it breaks down online. The gameplay is fun, but Ubisoft always manages to botch the elements fundamental to a good online experience. The lag and disconnect issues are the worst offenders, but the whole matchmaking system could use an overhaul too. At least now the game will be playable, hopefully there's enough of a fanbase left to play with, most people switched over to Gears.

Man, I am not saying this as a flame or anything, but the 360 seems to be getting a lot of patches for it's game. I honestly don't think console games should need all these patches!

At least PC games run on tons of different hardware, so there's an excuse for patches... but every 360 is the same and the games shouldn't be shipped with all these bugs. Too many devs are relying on Live and the HDD these days.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely good that they are fixing the bugs, but they should do more testing before release.

What a novel thought! And one that hasn't been already discussed to death in over a dozen PC VS Console treads, man. Upon resolving this conundrum please call Volkswagen North America and share your wisdom so that they may finally manufacture a car with working tail-lights.

All this, and still not mention of being able to cancel from the "Joining Session" Screen...

When is Montreal's next Splinter Cell coming out?
Shanghai can kiss the DARKEST half of my ass...

Not soon enough. Im done with those shanghi fools.

Neither Montreal nor Shanghi did the multiplayer, Paris is where you should be addressing your concerns. Montreal has never done a splinter cell multiplayer component.

I found, that i didnt enjoy the single player as much as i enjoyed the single player in Chaos theory.

Its completely unacceptable that this game had so many multiplayer issues after so many delays and the travesty which was Chaos Theory online.
