Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6162301.html) reports that the sexual harassment claims made against Tomonobu Itagaki (famous for his work on the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden games) are false according to Tecmo's internal investigations:
The Tokyo-based company this week issued a statement categorically denying the allegations. It said, "The alleged sexual harassment of the former employee by Itagaki never took place, and Tecmo did not issue an unjustified notice of dismissal to the former employee."
The statement went on to say that Itagaki and the unnamed former employee, as well as others, "mingled personal affairs with their corporate responsibilities," and as a result of this "unnecessary confusion" in the workplace, were both demoted and had their salaries reduced. Tecmo also claims that it did not force the employee to leave the company by firing her, but that she put in a voluntary resignation.
There is a lot more to read in the article, and apparently Itagaki plans on suing his accuser. I doubt that this amounts to anything more than corporate BS though.

It's too fucking bad that women can sue men with anything sexual related and get away with it.

This is all just a coverup for the "REAL" reason for his demotion and salary cut as consequence for Dead or Alive Extreme 2.
Or did he make "her" boobs jiggle too much? ;)

No one knows for sure if he did it or not! I smell coverup personally. How could Tecmo let it's poster boy have a rep for mollesting young employees? The answer: they can't, so they send the damage control lawyers out. Whether he did it or not isn't going to be the case anymore, what will be? A huge corporation squishing this young woman into oblivion.
Oh BTW, this IS Japan...you know, the most SEXIST country on the planet, this woman didn't have a chance from the start.

Got any examples? Not doubting you at all, but some examples would help us all understand your point of view and also perhaps shed some light on the issues you raise.

What are the mores in Japan on infidelity? Here in the states, it is Oh My God for 10 minutes and then we resume our lives. Is this a sword to the stomach sort of thing?

Basically nobody cares.
I'm exaggerating a little, but infidelity is very common in Japan. It's a normal part of a lot of people's lives. Remember they aren't a Christian nation like most of the West is composed of.
Reported this a week ago.
