I saw Unleashed with a group of friends this weekend. Good movie. It's nice to see Jet Li branch out a little bit. He was actually very good in this film. I wonder if Morgan Freeman had anything to do with that? Only downside is that the plot seems to jump around a little bit. Could be just some bad editing.

Well I hope the flood of people to see Monster in Law was because of Jane Fonda and not J Lo. I'm so sick of that woman (not that I'm a fan of Fonda either).
Kicking and Screaming looks funny. Will Ferrell seems to go from adult comedy to family friendly movie pretty easily (Elf to Anchorman for example).
Monster in Law is in first? Well, the first seal has officially been opened....

If the summer movie season has started already, well I haven't noticed in any way.....
well maybe the episode III will change things a little bit.... (can't wait for that thing!)

Mindhunters only made 2 million? LOL! Good god, I saw so many commercials for that thing, and it looks like it totally bombed. Did anybody happen to see it?

I watched Mindhunters over a year ago; that movie must have been retooled heavily, I thought it would never be released in theaters. Such a horrible plot, acting was terrible, nothing good to say about it.

Finally saw Sin City this weekend.. I must say it rocked, the only thing I didn't like was the yellow guy, seemed out of place in the context of the movie..

I saw kingdom of heaven and quite enjoyed it. The motivation of the antagonists wasn't clear/more on the stereotypical bad guy level.

What a hell hole the movie market is in these days. Funny and scary that Monster in Law (which looks like a pile of steaming dog poo) made almost as much money in its first weekend as the new XXX movie has made total.

Of the three top movies that debuted this weekend, "Unleashed" was reviewed most favorably and "Monster-in-Law" was reviewed least favorably. *sigh*

I saw Kingdom of Heaven, and walked out saying 'Man, they must have cut a ton of that movie.' I said this because the storytelling is VERY disjointed, stilted, and seems to almost rely on things which aren't there.
Then I get home, and find out that Scott was forced to cut over an hour from the film, and that he's releasing a full-length director's cut on DVD. THAT I am looking forward to, because there really was a good movie underneath all that sloppy editing and bad storytelling. Basically making the movie 1.5 times as long as it was should make it quite a bit more coherent. If it fixes my main gripes, I might even have to pick it up.

Kingdom of Heaven was pretty neat. If you were a fan of the big war scenes in LOTR then this would rank just under those, which is saying alot. I'm glad XXX is bombing. The only movies I want to see now are Kicking and Screaming and Unleashed.

Kingdom was meh. The action was good, but pretty much the same thing as Two Towers/Return of the King (huge assault on a fortified position). The writing was PC crap. You expect the Christian defender of Jerusalem against the Moslems will make a speech about how religion is meaningless? Gimme a God-damn break!
I liked Crash. A little contrived, but great writing and a good shot at tackling the racism in all of us.
Hitchikers was good, but the book is better. Big surprise. I can't imagine how the movie makes any sense to someone who didn't read it first.

saw Kingdom of Heaven - entertaining? yes, for a weekend flick. Good? an absolute No. Like Gladiator, another flop by the has-been director of the great Alien.

Maybe they cut out the Crusaders killing women and children? Too bad, that might have made it an interesting movie.

Saw unleashed, was ok, nothing too special. Kind of tired of Morgan Freeman being the wise, elderly gentlemen in every movie he has, feels like he is pretty much typecast at this point.
Saw KungFu Hustle and it was pretty damn funny. Sorta like a bugs bunny cartoon, but with real people. I'm still chuckling when I recall the throwing knives scene.

What's this "Episode III" thing you speak of? It sounds like it must be a big deal. You'd think I would have seen a trailer, or a tv ad or at least some product placements.
