What are you looking forward to at E3?

E3 is just around the corner and I was wondering what you were looking forward to seeing or hearing about there? Gothic 3 is the tops of my list. Then there is Gothic 3 in my second spot. And, dare shall I say, Gothic 3 for the next thing I am looking forward to... Ok, so maybe I am one tracked mind when it comes to E3 this year. You?

By far my most anticipated title is the FPS Black. Even though it has only been shown briefly to handful of the press, everything they have written has been positively ecstatic - like they can barely contain themselves, which is rare for previews. Apparently the level of environmental destruction is light years beyond anything that has been done, and several previews have stated that the simple act of firing a weapon in an empty room is extremely entertaining.

Indigo Prophecy also intrigues me, even though little is known about it. I am very interested in hearing whatever is said about that game. It is about time someone honestly gave the adventure genre a swift kick in the ass, and it looks as though this game could do just that.

Darkwatch is another. I was surprised when it was my favourite demo on an OXM disc that included Pariah, Doom 3, and Psychonauts. The gameplay is very entertaining and the style and story have huge potential.

Other than that, anything next gen. I am happy to see that both Sony and Nintendo will be showing their next gen offerings in addition to Microsoft. With all three of the big players poised to go head to head, this is ramping up to be the greatest E3 in a good long time - perhaps ever.

AS for games I'm really only looking forward to release dates not oodles of hype.

Now if I was going I'd be looking forward to trying out the games and talking to any developers and stuff. But hearing pre-release paper hype? Nah.

I'm not much of a console person but I'm looking forward to hearing how each of the big 3 companies plans to combat the others and what each console will look like etc.

As for games I'm looking forward to the new elder scrolls game and hopefully hearing that Dreamfall is on the right track. I won't read reviews going into more depth then that for fear of spoiling it but I would like to hear that fans of the first game are pleased with what they are seeing. Also looking forward to hearing more about the glut of adventure games coming out. Plus want to hear more about vehicles in Quake 4. And of course I would like to pleasantly surprised about something I never heard of before.

I'll be taking in all the 1st hand info i can on the 3 consoles to help me decide which i should buy. Games wise, everything looks great for next gen, so far. But i'm still waiting to see the one that damn near kills me.

Next-gen LOTR game. Shadows, bumpmaps and 1000 characters on screen - like ROTK * 100.

And the usual stuff - MGS4 trailer, Super Mario 128, Metroid Prime 3 etc.

Mostly information on the Revolution. There are so many rumors and such wild speculation, I want to see something for real. I'm rarely disappointed by Nintendo.

As far as games go, Oblivion first and foremost. Also the xbox 360 launch lineup. I want to see more DS games - particularly Animal Crossing, and their online system.

Just for sarcastic humor reasons, I want to see Kameo on the x360, because I was at the E3 where it debuted alongside the Gamecube. That's one long dev cycle.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Black as well. If Criterion can do with FPS what they did with Burnout 3, I will give even EA my money. And I'm sorry, but I can't find any good links. I was pretty sure Gamasutra had coverage of it from GDC 04, but can't find anything.
