Thanks to Gamersreports for the tip on this on.
Wii component auction! (http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Wii-NEW-Component-Video-Cable-HAVE-IN-HAND_W0QQitemZ180054113176) Get um while they are hot!!!
Well if the Playstation 3 or the Nintendo Wii aren't making you any money this time of year on Ebay, you could always go smaller. The Nintendo Wii component video cables are rarer than a Playstation 3 is at this point. These things are going for more than 1000% their retail price over on ebay.
Now if only I had some :(

I just got mine from Nintendo 20 minutes ago.
Ha, at those prices I should put them up for auction.

If you received them from Nintendo recently, when did you order yours? Here I am with a HDTV and composite. It's like one of Dante's circles of hell.

Jeeze... some people are stupid beyond belief. Ya, progressive scan is nice and all... It isn't worth more than the console.

Hmm, I wonder if someone could solder together their own and sell it on eBay. This guy made one with some wires and paper clips...

Jeeze guys. Nintendo is still selling them on their website. Just go order 'em and wait a week.
A massive markup for a console that's Rare? Sure I can sorta understand that one. But for.. cables? ick.

You can just preorder the NoJ ones from Play-Asia or YesAsia for less than the price of even the NoA cables.

What exactly do these cables do for you? Can you not play with your Wii (huh-huh) if you don't have them or what?

Component cables allow for greater picture clarity and colour saturation, along with the ability to display via progressive scan, which is generally of great benefit for those with non-CRT monitors and televisions.

This infuriates me. I'd love to get a component cable, but from everything I've read and been told by retailers I'm not going to be able to get one until December at the earliest.
If any kind soul has a component cable and no Wii, and knows they won't be getting a Wii until after December, you would be greatly enriching my Zelda experience by selling it to me.

Notice he said PRE-Order them. Thanks for the tip, I PRE-ordered mine just now, with shipping it's 10 dollars cheaper than through NOA. I will also get them earlier now thanks to the fact NOA has them backorderd till dec 18th.
