Personally, this just makes me want it more.

This was the footage shown at the XBOX 360 unveiling. Apparently Quake 4 is now officially coming out for both the 360 and PC. It does look good though. The action looks far more fast paced than I would have imagined.

it's a good thing that it's fast paced... should be very fast paced imo.

To be honest with you, i've been replaying quake 2 again and well alot of the game is very dark. It makes it harder which i like, but by no means is quake 2 a very bright world. Also in quake 2, i find you can either play very slowly or you can get by very fast, sometimes i bunny hop so fast i move way to quick.

I thought it looked cool, and not much like Doom 3. Different art direction helps that a lot.

Looks ok but as doom 3 showed us all pretty graphics do not make a game.
Also the outside sceens look pretty bad compared to HL2 but that is probibly because the engine was designed for indoors use.

Hooray at the return of the gattling gun!
That's the nail gun. ( if you are referring to the last scene )

Well, I've never played the first Quake, although a Google image search would suggest that it may be a nailgun, but it looked like a Gatling gun from Quake 2 to me.

It's not what the weapon resembles, if you watch closely and listen you can tell it's firing nails/slugs of a kind. Either way, it's definitely not a gatling gun.

Doesn't anyone else think Quake 4 looks exactly the same as Doom 3? And I'm not talking about the engine.

I don't, but I've seen a lot more of it than you have :)
Another Raven game I can't wait for. Raven's spending a ton of time on this game compared to their usual dev times it seems. Good :).

Nah. I've been playing FPS games since Wolfenstein came out. It's just that I was stuck with a 286 until around the time that Quake 2 was released.

i have a feeling if this game has excellent multiplayer, and vechs and the such. This game is going to be the halo killer. Well since its for sure hitting the xbox.

Nah, I've seen more footage of Quake 4 than what was provided from the link. The level design looks like a copy of the Mars base in Doom 3.
I assure you mag, Rickmus has seen more.
