Cube-Europe (http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=7739) has the word on some new games, including realistic Zelda's title for the GameCube.
Come see what Nintendo has in store for gamers in the coming year...looks like Zelda has its title...
Cube-Europe has obtained a partial list of Nintendo's planned software offerings for the 2006 lineup. To clarify, the fiscal year 2006 starts on April 1 of 2005 and ends March 31st of 2006. As you folks can see by glancing down, it will be a very good year for Nintendo fans...still with me? Check out the list already!
Also, here is a scan (http://www.zhq2.com/coppermine/cpg132/albums/userpics/10001/game_informer_june_2005_1.jpg) from June's Game Informer for further confirmation. Enjoy!

Twilight Princess.
I.. don't know about that name.

I like that name, it has a more mature tone without over doing it. Has a nice fantasy edge too. :)

More importantly from that scan, a Pokemon RPG.

the name will appear to the well-defined homosexual demographic, but because I am in touch with my feminine side and am comfortable with my own sexuality, the name is fine for me. The title has always been Legend of Zelda, who is herself a princess, but the maincharacter is always the hero saving her. When is Legend of Link coming out? That boy needs some mad props, not just a subheading like "the Windwaker". He more than deserves it, he's saved that helpless bitch a thousand times!
Blade

The Wind Waker isn't even a subheading for Link, it's an item in the game. Heh.

Personally I can't think of a better title to finish off the Gamecube though. It looks like they've finally pushed the hardware where it should have always been (RE4 graphics) and gave us the Zelda we wanted.

You know, I just wonder if they're going to do anything for Zelda's twentieth anniversery...

Twilight Princess is good and fine, but let's look at some other games in the EGM scan. Mario and Luigi 2? Metroid Dread? Nintendo probably-online Tetris? I'm liking it.

That is quite possibly the most fitting subtitle of any game in the series because, you know, it's called the Legend of ZELDA. She's a fucking princess.

Also, Super Mario Strikers! I hadn't heard about that before, sounds awesome!

Mario and Luigi 1 was drug induced gold.

Mario Strikers.
I'm going to step out on a limb here and predict that there will be Mario game for every sport by 2007. Oh, and at least 3 more Mario Party titles.

That magazine scan is fake. How could that be Nintendo's 2006 line-up when Donkey Konga 2 has already come out. Plus, the Zelda is due out this year, and a new Mario Party is released every year. Why would they skip 2005, and put in 2006. Also, they mentioned Mario Strikers (a soccer game), why isn't Mario Baseball on the list? That was announced months ago.

I agree, something seems off about that list. Either, it's a fake, or Game Informer's stupidity.
I'm also not sure that Twilight Princess is the real title, gonna have to wait till next week.

Or maybe that is why they said that it was not a complete listing in the actual article?

I second the 'Bout damn time' on the Pokemon RPG, no more gamer teasing with Pokemon arena.

Because, as was mentioned in EA article heading, the source page article heading, and about 3 times in the responses on the original page, 2006 refers to FISCAL YEAR, which has already begun.

Oh God... please let the Pokemon RPG be cancelled! PLEASE GOD!
If that comes out, I'll have to buy it. Oh my word... I'll have to buy it and my friends will catch me playing it. And then they'll ridicule me, and I'll have to kill them and wear their heads like hats. And then I'll go to jail. =(
Stupid pokemon...

Oh, and they wouldn't mention that in the article? They just blatantly say 2006 lineup, and don't mention to their readers that they meant fiscal year? You think half the people that read that mag know what "fiscal" year means?
I am totally excited about mario strikers. If it's anything like Megaman Soccer (the best game ever made) than I will splooge.

The DS list really has me more excited than the GC one. I mean- a new 2D Metroid, a new fucking Mario RPG- that's insane. The DS is really looking like it has more AAA titles coming out in the next year than the PSP.

And to think I started to worry about choosing the DS over the PSP. ;)

I think it's fake.
I hope it's not though. I want a new 2D Metroid so bad.
The "magazine print" texture seems a bit too obvious. Usually that level of artifacing only happens on higher resolutions I find.

From my sources in the know:
The "Twilight Princess" subtitle refers to this games gimmick where Link will morph into the female zelda every night at midnight then back to male form when the sun rises.
You heard it here first.

Considering it's a listing of Nintendo's first party titles only, you can cram your sarcasm up your ass. If that were Sony or MS's list there'd be bloody nothing on it.

Anyway, the new pokemon RPG might make me spring for a gamecube. That's right, it could be a killer-app for me.

Ripping off Ranma 1/2? How low can Nintendo sink?
I would attempt to express my joy at seeing the words Mario & Luigi 2, but I ran out of exclamation points. No, I don't understand how that could happen. I assume it is due to an aesthetic decision on the part of Apple.
Anyway, Nintendo should have picked up Visual Concepts last year, even if just for NHL.

So, as I said in my original post, yes, they said Fiscal Year right in the article, and they also explained what FISCAL YEAR 2006 meant directly in the article.

Odd, I'd say just about the same thing seeing as how I've loved the 2D Metroids and the Mario RPGs they've done to date. If the postings of others are any indication then a lot of people feel this way. So no, I don't really detect any sarcasm there either.

I can't believe you guys think that guy is being sarcastic. 2D Metroid Games (any Metroid games actually) and Mario RPG - that's insane!
Also, if you think this article is fake, you really should stop posting on EA.
I think the title is great. Has a bit of a mature feel to it (at least that's how it reads to me). Then again, they could have named it "The Legend of Zelda: Link Falls on his Sword in the First Five Minutes and, well, Dies" and I would still giggle and buy it. Even pre-pay for the fancy 'gold disc' edition at that.
/sigh

Zero Mission was a rushed, butchered mess that not only added plot holes but cheapened the series as a whole.

No one's interested that the name change from "DDR with Mario" to "DDR Mario Mix"? :(
And Twilight Princess? I dunno, it doesn't flow at all to me. Is Cube-Europe sure they didn't just get the Japanese name and translate it to English? Because it sure sounds like they did.

DDR Mario Mix: Nice, I've been looking for a reason to get into that shiz. I recently played one of the uprights with my wife at an empty arcade where I didn't have to fight with the tots to play it at 2$ a pop. (was 50c)
As for zelda, i hate it when they have a monster game come out at the end of a console cause i always miss it. plus if they fucking pull that boring ass 2 hour (with hintbook escapade ) just to see the ending like they did with wind waker i will just die. soo die!
oh and thanks for bringing up megaman soccer, i totally was planning on getting it and forgot about it till now.. looked hella fun (i loved that NES soccer game with those river city ransomish (i made up a word!) characters) oh and soccer slam was great too.

Revolution is backwards compatible, so it's all good.
Alright, it's settled: I actually have to go and hunt down a copy of this Mega Man Soccer game. Maybe that and Mutant League Football. Arm Cannon on a robot, chainsaw weilding zombies. They're kinda close, right?
