What is on your gaming plate this weekend? I am done with major work projects for about two weeks before I have to get back into the thick of it. How much game time I will have remains to be seen as I continue to play the unpack game. What will you be playing?

Since I'm currently in the process of getting a cold, it's supposed to thunderstorm all weeked, and my girlfriend is away until Monday, I'll have a lot of "me time" (game time)... so I'll probably mostly be playing Guild Wars, and perhaps some Garrysmod 8.2 as well. Mostly Guild Wars though.

The weather here is raining and cold...sucks, but guess i'll try to get some Diablo 2 on b.net in, finish up God of War, and try a host of Star Wars games that I've essentially collected and haven't tried yet i.e. KotOR 2, RC, Lego. I really want to pickup Guild Wars, but man I got just too many games waiting to be played...so little time...

Hrm, tricky. I'm thinking some Pariah and maybe some KUF. Gah, stupid campaign, tells me I need Wyverns after I've trained my troops. Grumble.

Pariah for me too. I beat the single player game (meh..) but I've found a new pastime making maps.

I should be playing Guild Wars, but i'm just not feeling it for some reaon. I'm thinking either PSO:BB or i'll try God of War on God Mode, but now that I look over at my PS2 stack a replay of Dark Cloud 2 or Mercenaries should get me through the weekend...

World of Warcraft, maybe some Guild Wars. Just finished playing some Splinter Cell:CT coop on Live, dang that's fun. One of these days I need to go back to Resident Evil 4. I started it but haven't really gotten anywhere.

In honor of Revenge of the Sith, I finally decided to give KotoR 1 another try. I've started it twice before but gotten too bored on Taris. This time I pushed myself to get past the boring-as-hell beginning and it's just fantastic now. I had the same complaint about Jedi Knight 2, come to think of it. Basically I think the rule of a Star Wars game is:

Time before being a Jedi = suck
Time as a Jedi = rawk

I also have a smattering of games to play from years back that I never finished, such as ICO and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Finals are a couple weeks off so maybe I'll plow through 'em.

I have just starting Splinter Cell:CT and am loving it; I never played any of the earlier SCs. I hope to spend a lot of time with it this weekend, however, I also have SWAT4 and Perimeter lying on my desk, unopened at the moment. Should be a great gaming weekend. I have not had one of those for a while now.

I just finished up Psychonauts the other night. I cannot say enough good things about that game. Pure genius. Go out and buy it, you'll love it...I would hate to see quality titles like this die out completely.

Up next: I think I will be returning to the Jade Empire as I haven't gotten through that one yet. Maybe some Doom 3 Resurrection one the side.

This must be the weekend of Ico.

I'm planning on enjoying the thunderstorms and rainy weather and hunkering down for some Guild Wars time. I'll probably see if I can make a bit more Gold in WoW since the "Buy My Gnome A Mount" quest is about the only thing I'm really doing in there at the moment.

And a playthrough of Ico is also in the cards.

I'm also going to watch the incredibly gorgeous CGI remake of Appleseed that I just picked up on Thursday. Mmm...

besides milking myself rotten, I think some MVP Baseball 2005 is in store (but i hate EA, what a conundrum!!) and i'm thinking about Star Ocean 3...but i hear there are ALOT of random battles, like every few steps. Sigh. For other stuff, maybe a PC game or two. Thinking about KOTOR...never even got past the first city without losing interest...but i know it starts out slow. So maybe I'll try it.

And i'm also trying to write some short stories. It's been awhile since my last one and I really need to start sending more off to publishers. I've been slacking.

I beat the game with Ming...but was open palmed throughout. However, i DID beat the final game by using the twist at the very end to be a bad guy. No one saw it coming!!! Hell, i didnt either. But being a pussy all game really seduced the goodguys into thinking i was gonna end the evil of the land...but when offered the branching "career paths", i fuckin snapped and went all out evil!

Sorry, Dawn Star. :)

Breakdown was really cool except for the fact that the end bit is insanely hard. Really cool concept and execution otherwise!

That should be carved into stone and sent to LucasArts. Or maybe it should just be tattooed on the forehead of every employee.

I certainly think so. The primary complaint that I heard from people who played Star Wars Galaxies was that the Jedi system was so insignificant and poorly played out.

Shiny's Dave Perry was interviewed recently about the new Matrix: Path of Neo game that they're developing. One of the things he noted about Enter the Matrix (other than their lack of time to polish it and uninspired design...glad he's not afraid to smack himself in the face) was that people wanted to play a hero. They want to be Neo, or in the case of Star Wars, they want to be a Jedi.

And it's so true. The first time I played Jedi Knight 2 multiplayer I just about crapped myself when I saw how high you could Force jump, the various powers and the intricate saberplay...It was amazing.
