Boomtown has posted an in-depth interview (http://xbox.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=8156) with Microsoft's Robbie Bach on the Xbox 360. The chief Xbox officer spills the beans on Xbox 360 and answer questions about the launch in the different regions, the design, the costs of development and much more. (note: the writer was invited to Seattle a few weeks ago to talk to the peeps and see the 360 and the NDA has just been lifted.)
When we first launched Xbox, publishers, they did games. And they said, you know, it's a powerful platform, it's easy to develop for, we are doing PS2 games anyway, it's pretty easy to port, we do the games. But we weren't a strategic partner, really, for any of them. If you look at the way we are talking with them now, and the work they are doing on the next generation, it's quite clear that we are very strategic partners for those publishers. And our support this generation is going to be broader, and deeper than it's ever been before. I think that's an important part of the story.
As a bonus we also have the official Xbox 360 specifications (http://xbox.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=8161).
