WHAT!?!? I thought two thousand dollars would be a lot for a PS3, but 18 Meeeeelion dollars!?!?!?!

Hit up this link (http://search.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/search?p=ps3&f=0x2&alocale=0jp&apg=1&s1=cbids&o1=d&mode=2&auccat=0) to see the auctions.

I'm guessing the people in Japan are just having fun, hell the 18 Million dollar PS3 has 155 bids on it! I guess that's what happens when there's only 80k PS3s at launch.

Thanks to theJack for the submission.

...It'd be interesting to see if that sale actually goes through.

It won't. This stuff happens all the time on Ebay over silly / hyped items.

Try 2 billion yen. What the hell is with all this math. When are we going to do what Europe did with the Euro and have a Earthly currency called... um.... Eart.

Wow, I just realized that this is a great way to rage against those people who buy consoles just to ebay them. I mean, logically, you can create a new ebay user and make outright huge offers on all of the ps3/wii auctions and when the auction expires and you win, you just don't pay. So the seller is forced to sell it again, create a new userid, rinse and repeat. I'm sure there's some holes in my logic but if people really wanted to be an ass about this, that would be the way to do it.

Holes like them coming after you for not paying on the bid you put up? Those kinds or holes?

Yahoo auctions were always shady to me...I remember browsing bootleg dvds a while back....and by bootleg I mean some guy downloads it and burns it to a dvd-r.

These people will already get flooded by bids from people asking to ship it to Nigeria. The good thing is that they will bid 10 times what you are asking. The only catch is that you sorta have to ship it to the address in Nigeria before you get the money.Good luck e-bayers :)

Those can be avoided, just don't provide real information when signing up and make sure you're browsing their site using anonymous IP masking. :)

Plenty of damage can be done with a single account, as long as the auctions are ending very soon or they have buy it now options.

Hell yes, my buyout bid just went through for it.

But I gotta pay $20 shipping. Fuck.
