Guild Wars was autoupdated recently. It looks like more help was added to get people to follow the primary quest(s) in the game, and some newer quests were added. Take a gander at some of the major updates:
Major changes to PvP Arenas! Previously, each Arena had a separate outpost. When you joined an Arena, you continued playing on that map repeatedly until you lost. Now, the various high-level Arena maps all share a common outpost. When you enter the high-level Arena, you’ll play on many different maps with many different victory conditions, and you’ll need to master all the maps to keep on winning.
New quests! In Post-Searing Ascalon: “The Weaver of Nebo” and “Iron Horse War Machine." In “The Fissure of Woe:” “Tower of Courage," “The Wailing Lord," “A Gift of Griffons," “Army of Darkness," “The Eternal Forgemaster," “Defend the Temple of War," and “Restore the Temple of War."
Primary quests in Pre-Searing Ascalon now chain together, making it more straightforward for new players to complete Pre-Searing Ascalon and gain entrance to the Academy.
The official site has the rest of the updates (http://www.guildwars.com/news/gameupdates.html).
If you're playing Guild Wars and have yet to join a guild, check out the forums to get all the buzz on the EvilAvatar guild.

Oooh, new quests already? That's awesome.
It's a good thing they fixed the pre-searing thing, I know too many people who thought the newbie zone was the whole feel of the game.

It would seem as though one of the quests regarding Lord?/Ambassador? Zion???(I'm not good with names) in Old Ascalon is borked.
Instead of getting a reward for completing the mission where you give a war chest to a guard, he kept giving me more war chests. I thought they would max out at 100 chests, but I was wrong.

I like the fix to Firestorm, now I dont have to worry about someone killing the npc I targeted and waste 5-6 seconds of casting time.

hmm all good changes
i think they need to do something about the map navigation issues as that is kind of annoying and is the main thing reviews i've read complain about

I don't see a fix listed for the problem where one guy in the group can zone, and it zones everyone else with him.
I also don't see a fix to the complete lack of an LFG tool, but then, I didn't expect that. :)
If this game could fix up the RPG portion of the game a bit more so it's at least respectable, its PvP kicks the crap out of every other RPG combat game on the market. It's just so... tedious... to get there....
Few more patches, maybe it'll rock. :)

Actually, this happened to me. It let me complete the quest twice. After that everything was fine.
Wow, just checked out the updates. They did a really good job on these. A lot of the stuff makes sense, plus more quests is a good thing.

That's a feature to keep teams together, also some areas require teamwork to get in to, not everyone can dash for the portal.

I really doubt that Im going to be able to avoid this game much longer. The more and more I hear people talk about it around here and the more and more I see positive press and the more and more I realize that this is my chance to finally play an MMO that sounds interesting and without a monthly fee....
I guess I made my point, Im picking this fucker up soon.

Hey, so i heard rumors that you can actually get your own guild hall. How would one go about doing that?

Either by purchasing one or holding the hall of heroes and getting a sigil. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, we now have a guild hall.

I'm loving this game, I only have one nagging scratch-on-roof-of-the-mouth type bug, where there are lines under some text while in fullscreen mode, while in windowed mode the slight lines under text are totally gone, anyone else get that?
Great game otherwise, my first online RPG experience, I guess if Diablo 2 online doesn't count in the same category?

I'm pretty sure I saw a reference to that somewhere, they thought it was a problem with the graphics card drivers. Not sure where I saw it though - I've been googling for info about the game.

Are you stuck pre-searing or something? Because I find the missions in GW to be a hell of a lot of fun. Far better than the quests or instances in other contemporary MMOs. The PvE is fun enough that I have trouble convincing guys in the guild to come try PvP, heh heh. And if you find three solid days of leveling tedious...I don't know...EQ would probably turn your hair white.
There are some changes to the grouping system I'd like to see. I want the ability to reconnect to a team if I get disconnected. I'd like to see them introduce two types of groups, "hard" and "soft". Soft groups would be like they are currently, except no single person can drag the group into an instance, it'd be voted on. Hard groups would be for people you trust and know. The group leader would be the only one who could map-teleport, and doing so would pull the whole group to that area and district. So you could do smart stuff like form up at the guildhall, then port together to the Tombs.
And I think adding a LFG button that reset every minute to lobbies would help things there. You could tell who was really looking for groups. Also, a visual indicator of player's rank would be nice.
There are lots of changes that'd make things easier, but given that the last patch added the wonderful map-blips for quest waypoints, good changes are being made. And more will likely come, even though the game is quite enjoyable in its present form.

On a side note I own the character name Chuck Norris. If anyone wants to buy it off me arrangements can be made. Scraggle Bags fo life.

I got a ways into post-searing, but I mostly played in the first few days. So, everyone was totally clueless and doing stupid stuff all the time. :) Now that people are clued in and have played a bit longer, it's probably a lot better. I'll fire it up again tonight.
Your suggestion of two group settings is awesome. City of Heroes has some similar stuff, like a setting to prompt on teleport or not. Works like a charm.

hmm it seems they did fix the navigation issues by adding a navigation dot now on the main map.
